Does not use gear oil. the motor oil lubricates the transmission as well. Just make sure to keep the engine oil full.

also, you want to see soe smoke on a 2 cycle engine but excessive smoke can mean your fuel mixture is too rich with oil. This will also cause it to bog because of poor fuel atomization in the chamber. Check your fuel/oil ixture and see if this helps

What is leaking on 02 gsx 600 near the broken sproket cover

there is a oil seal behind the front sprocket that may be damaged. Also the case may be crack due to chaine impact. This type of damage is common when chaine is not kept to spec..If case are crack you can repair with jb weld no oil pressure at this location. Have to be clean and scuff for product to work properly.Mr cee's cycle Repair.

if it is coming from behind the r front tire and is a 4cyl the water pump has an o-ring that fits between pump and block and is behind timing cover where you can not see it. usually if it is leaking you can look under car at the engine on r-side at p/s pump area and can see where coolant has run down oil pump to oil pan from behind t-cover. hope this helped give me more info if not and good luck................

My jaguar x type 2.0 auto is leaking transmission fluid and there was smoke coming from the vehicle as i drove it. Its a 2002 model what could be the problem?

front pump seal is leaking or oil pan seal is leaking and hitting the exhaust pipe. time for a transmisson oil change and fliter replacement. costs about $200.00 at any tranny shop.

Oil leak under front sproket

The oil seal on the sprocket shaft has probably gone bad. Remove the sprocket then clean the shaft to aid in removing the old seal. A screw driver and small hammer is used to pry the outer edge of the seal inward. Realize that you will butcher the old seal in the process of removal. The only other way to remove the old seal is to pull the engine and split the center case.

Tramission is dumping fluid , the rear is not leaking, or the front seal is not leaking Sooo!what could the problem be?

it could be coming up the dip stick pipe? if the box is getting over heated becouse the oil cooler is blocked then the gear oil will boil up and in time it will cook your gear box up to the point it wont work any more
if your driving it very hard and its slipping a bit it will get very hot the oil boils away,,, as smoke!

I have a 2008 Kawasaki KLX 450 R with an oil leak behind the front sproket, do you know what is behind the front sproket that could be leaking? How hard would it be to fix it?

It is an output shaft seal. Shouldn't be too hard to do depending on your skill level. You will need to have something to pull the seal out, and make sure you put the seal in squarely.

Engine bogs big puffs of white smoke from front

the engine will bog because the cutting blades are either cutting to much grass or the blades are touching the ground making it hard to keep rpm's then it will smoke a bit
