I have a 2003 26 hp EFI Walker mower brand-new battery won't hold a charge was wondering if it's the magneto and where is it located and is it expensive to fix

This could be the switch. The switch is giving the impression that it's either in the on position or its a flat out short. .

This is not a difficult job. If you decide to take it to a shop, DON'T let them over charge u. The magneto and coil work together to provide spark only so, it's NOT anything to do with the magneto.

What I would do is test the switch, start there.. You can save yourself alot of money doing this yourself.

Cranks but wont start. Ran ok when I left the house then died. Used and HEI spark tester. Checked cylinder, no spark. Tested cylinder 3, spark and it started. Turned engine off, put the plug wire back on...

Check the fuel pump relay. As you are cranking the engine, you should hear a whinny sound of fuel being pumped into the injectors. Interval would be about 5 seconds. If you don't hear this sound, relay is shot. You can try swapping the relay of the same number with another function to try to start normally.

Engine cranks, but no start

First let me say thanks for the effort for our country.
Do you know if the injectors are getting voltage and pulse ground, and if the plugs are getting spark ?
You need to know that to proceed.

2005 Honda CR 85 R getting no spark

Hi, Brandon and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting/leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or electronic control module.
7. Faulty pulse coil.
8. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
9. Faulty ignition switch.
10. Faulty run/off switch
11. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
12. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

No spark on a honda cr 85

Purchase a shop manual from local dealership and in that will have all the ohms resistances in there. Test all electrical components before buying anything to be certain it is what you need.
