I require simple wiring diagrams for a 1976 F150 pickup.

Use a test lite on negative side of coil, engine cranking, the lite should pulse?
It appears the vehicle has electronic ignition, There is a separate ignition module. In the wiring diagram, I can't guarantee the wire colors. The older my wirings diagrams are, it seems, the less accurate they are. I hope it is readable, If no spark, I'd check the ignition system, Check fuses--fusible links--battery connections.

Which wires do i need to bypass key to start

You'll need the ignition wiring diagram for your specific vehicle. Disconnect the electrical connector for the ignition switch, then you'll need to identify which wires are which. Once you've got that you have to jumper the wire with battery voltage (12v) to the wire for the run position. Once those two have been connected, momentarily jumper the 12v wire to the "start" wire this will cause the vehicle to crank and start up. Once it starts remove that second jumper. Leave the 12v connected to the run wire, remove it to shut it down.

Starter wiring

According to my wiring diagram, you should only have one small wire which is purple. That wire goes on the R or S terminal. The I terminal was used for cars with point system ignition before electronic ignition.
The purple wire should be hot when the key switch is in the start position.

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500. does anyone know anything about the headlight wiring?I would like to know how it works. Currently , i know the violet wire is 12v constant and the vt/wht wire is ground when...

Well, where to start...
First there are 4 different headlamp systems available for 2001 Dodge Ram 1500.

> WITH Daytime Running Lights and WITH Quad Headlamps

> WITH Daytime Running Lights and WITHOUT Quad Headlamps

> WITHOUT Daytime Running Lights and WITH Quad Headlamps

> WITHOUT Daytime Running Lights and WITHOUT Quad Headlamps

So providing you with an EXACT flow chart of what happens depends on which system your truck is equipped with.

However, the general jist of it goes like this:

The Violet wire you mention is your power feed to the bulbs (high beam and low beam elements) from the headlamp fuse (HOT AT ALL TIMES). The dimmer switch basically determines which of the two headlamp elements is going to get grounded to complete the circuit. When the Violet/White wire gets grounded, that is low beam. When the Red/Orange wire gets grounded, that is high beam.

Just a little "Automotive Electrical Systems 101":

Your Headlamps work just like ALL automotive electrical circuits. The power goes from battery POSITIVE to battery NEGATIVE in order to complete the circuit. PERIOD! Every circuit on your vehicle is as simple as that. If you take a closer look at the wiring diagrams, you will see this.

1995 Ford Escort Seeking wiring diagram for ignition, charging and starting system

Two options for you:
1. A Haynes or Chilton Repair Manual from most car parts places (Oreilly's, NAPA, Carquest, Advance, etc...) Note these are general diagrams and may not be what you have in your vehicle.
OR
2, Go to alldatadiy.com for more specific wiring diagrams. Cost is $20-$30 per 12-months.

Central locking wont stay open

Here's what I suspect is happening. The door locks will lock and unlock normally when the key is OUT of the ignition. If the key is IN the ignition, the doors cannot be locked (manually, key fob, or otherwise, if the system is operating as designed - prevents the doors being locked when the key is in the ignition). I've seen this problem before, but on a Santa Fe, not an Accent. The ground signal of the right hand front passenger door was lost, and the doors automatically locked. Perhaps something similar is happening in the circuit between the ETACS module and the right front passenger door lock/unlock actuator. Could be anywhere in the circuit.

d05b136.gif
ab4c712.gif These wiring diagrams may be helpful. The relays expecially may help solve this issue. As you can see, these relays are also controled by the ETACS module (Remote Keyless Entry).
