Replaced the battery on my bike. Now I get no power at all. Connections have been double checked.

Ground or fusible link. If it is indeed a hot Battery put a test light on the negative side of the battery touch the positive side to see if it lights up. Move the ground down to the frame, touch the positive again to see if it lights up. if it does follow all the positive wires with the light, if doesn't light up hooked to the frame you have a bad ground.

I have a 1992 yamaha virago 1100 new battery will not keep charge once in motorcycle?

That happened to me last year on my virago 1100. Battery would fully charge, but not hold once in the bike. It was a brand new battery from GP Bikes. I took it back to the store and they checked the charge with their machine, which is better than mine. The battery was a lemon. They replaced it and the new one worked perfectly. But what a pain for a few weeks to figure out it was the battery and not the bike.

New Battery in Bike, turn the key and nothing happens.

Get a test light probe so you can follow the power lead from the battery to the fuses. It will show you where power is getting to and where it isn't.

Just put a brand new alternater in and went to start it and got nothing, no lights nothing. I checked to make sure there was power going to it and there is.

More than likely, your battery was completely drained when you old alternator was failing. You need to fully charge your battery then your will be able to sustain this full charge condition.

Fail to start

I think I would change the petrol in the tank as it may have become a bit stale. Also I would replace the battery.Make certain the replacement battery in fully charged before you try again.

No power with a brand new battery, not even ignition lights

Did you check your brand new battery? Fully charged? Hydro was good? You are connected properly ( + = + and - = - ) Do a volt check yourselg between + and - (frame)

If yes to all, Id be looking at the ignition switch.
