Can electric start be added to a 1993 DR60?
Something just started hanging down below my seat. It is a rectangle box about 4"x 2" with wire cluster running to it. Do you have an idea what this is and where it should be fastened to?

Yes electric start can be fitted to most bikes with little modifacation as far as the box goes it sits in the centre of the frame under seat i used cable ties for most of them as the rubber mount breaks and ends up on the road
hope this helps..

Good new if you can fit an electric start to the DR650, but what starter motor can be used? A later DR model starter or a different bike's starter?
Do you still need the decompression lever pulled to use one also?

Take it out for a drive on a country road and floor it...it may be the transmission or solenoid valves are stuck this should unfreeze them also check for corrosion in the electrical plugs to transmission clean them with vinegar and apply electrical contact grease and reconnect them

Hi, i have a 1994 suzuki dr650 rse,it has noise on starting

Sounds like the starter motor clutch is worn or damaged and should be replaced.
Go to the link below and scroll down and click on STARTER CLUTCH. An exploded view diagram and part list is given. All sections of the bike are covered. The starter clutch is not a serviceable item and is replaced when faulty.
Your Yamaha dealer should freely verify the noise if your on good terms with them.
Cheers!

Have a 1993 chrysler lebaron has an aftermarket alarm we have no remote for it it has enabled itself so now we cant start it disables the ignition does any body have any ideas on how to disable it our car...

Under the dash you should find the fuses for the system. They won't be in the fuse box. You are looking for wires that are wrapped in electrical tape. The fuse holders should be hanging somewhere around the bottom of the column or near the left kick panel. Remove the fuses to disable the system. Now after you have done this you need to find the added in relay for the starter disable. This should be hanging around down there too in the same area. Two of the wires from the relay should go in to the column or splice into the wiring going to the ignition switch in the column. Hook these two wires together and then you should be able to start the car.

Does the alternator on a 1993 Geo Prism need grounded?

IF THE WIRE THAT IS HANGING HAS A TERMINAL ON IT WITH A LOOP, THEN LOOK ON THE ALTERNATOR FOR A STUD THAT MAY ACCOMODATE THE WIRE'S LOOP. IF THE WIRE HAS A PLUG THEN LOOK FOR A CONNECTION ON THE BOTTOM OF THE ALTERNATOR. IF NOTHING IS ON THE END OF THE WIRE, THEN HEAD FOR AN AUTO PARTS STORE WHERE THEY WILL HAVE THE APPROPRIATE PLUG OR WIRE CONNECTOR FOR YOUR VEHICLE. HOPE THIS HELPS. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK. AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR AN HONEST RATING.
