I was looking for the oil capacities for a 2002 FLSTC, primary, transmission, and engine, as well as the front fork tubes?

The engine oil capacity is three quarts with the filter change. The primary is 36-44 ounces. Stand the bike straight up as you can safely, remove the derby cover, and fill the primary case until the oil level is just to the bottom of the outer clutch shell. Do not overfill. The transmission holds 20-24 ounces. Check it using the dipstick with the bike standing straight up. As for the fork capacity, I do not know that information. There are two different quantities. One is a "wet" quantity to be put into the fork tubes when oil is simply drained from them and a "dry" quantity when you have disassembled the fork tubes for some reason. Your dealer will provide you with this information if you call them. I'm sorry that I don't have that information.

Good Luck
Steve

How do change forkseals on an 1983 honda mangna

The fork tube needs to be removed from the motorcycle. Wheel, fender, pinch bolts on triple tree released and the tube slide out of the clamps. The fork has a drain bolt at the bottom, set it in a drain pan and with the screw removed pump the fork till the oill is out. Measure how much as you need to put the right amount of new oil in when your done. If the one your doing was a leakers you needto drain the other one anyway as the oil needs to be new and the same as the other so measure it. Fork oil is better than trans fluild as it is a little different. trans fluild will work. once the fluild is under control theres an allem bolt going in from the bottom of the fork, The dust cap abovre the seal just pulls off and if it's good you can use it over, some seals have a snap ring holding the seal in so look for it, once out or it's not there you can pull the fork tube out in a hammering action against the seal till it comes out ( it'll take a few strog hits.) with the sael out wipe out everthing and don't let the parts get out of order. If you do go to bike bandit . com and look up your bike and the break down of the fork will show the order. You can buy from them as well most parts are shipped out of San deigo Calif. I get them in Kentucky in a few days. Push the new seal in after the allen bolt in the bottom has been tightened, a small drift and a hammer working around till it's all the ay in. add new fork oil though the top air valve or take the big nut off measureing the amount that you recorded some use 6 oz some use 12 and everything inbetween. the books can mess you up as the fork may be off something else. reassemble and tighten carefully all the bolts you lossened or removed. ( all of them) work up and down with the front brake on rocking if if feels good it is , go riding.

Forkseal is leaking.i got the inner seal and the outer seal on line is that all the parts thats needed? i was told i will need some special tools that could be fabricated with a lenth of pvc and another...

Do you know what you are doing? Those parts are correct requirements .You need to take the forks off the bike first then undo thee mpty old fork oil, release first upper "C" ring locknut and be careful when removing the "c" locknut not to let the compressed spring out too fast as it will sprung forcefully. Anyway the pipe should be able to slide tight over the stachion to remove outer seal and length is about 1.5m. If you never done it before, get an experienced friend to help guide you as this is quite a tricky operation though feasible to be done. Good enough advise?

Honda FMX 650 - quantity of hydraulic oil

The best way,is to drain a fork leg into a container, and measure the amount. however if you cant do that, start of with about 100ml in each leg, test them out, if to soft, you can always add a little more oil. from memory, a 250ml bottle of fork oil was enough to do both legs on most bikes.
