Question about 1984 Honda VT 500 C Shadow
I have a 1984 750 Honda Shadow. The front brake when applied will allow for the rear tail light to come on but not the foot brake. I am guessing it may be a spring that needs to be adjusted or the switch is faulty.
There is an indicator by the ignition that shows red for the tail light when no brake is applied. The red light goes out when only the front brake is applied but not the rear.
Could it possibly be something that is directly connected to the rear foot brake? (cable, switch, spring) Thanks for your time.
If your brake lights are not coming when pressing the foot brake this means that there is something wrong with the switch..Have a closer look near the brake lever and you will see a spring attached to it which in turn is connected to the brake switch..Try to pull it down and if you see your brake lights working then you only need to adjust the spring setting..Else try to make a manual close connection and if it goes on then replace the switch..
