I took apart my sewing machine, Brother CE1100PRW, to clean, and "Error 1" would not go away, please help.

Brother says:

The foot controller was pressed (or the start/stop button was pressed if the foot controller is not connected) and the reverse/reinforcement stitch button was pressed while the presser foot is raised.

Lower the presser foot lever before continuing the operation.
An E1 message appears on the panel Brother

My bike won't start(lights light ,horn works push starter button nothing no power to spark plugs ??? i belive one of the starter interlocks must be stuck in an open position possibly?

Hey, When that happened to me I took the bike half apart and it ended up being the Kill switch. Try rocking it back and forth also if you have contact cleaner flood the switch and let it dry then give it a light spray of wd-40. also check the start switch to be sure it is making contact, bike is in Neutral and the kick stand switch is also working.

I think your bike is being powered through the starter solenoid by a defective starter button. The starter button is on the right switch assembly and normally turns the headlight off when depressed halfway. A wire may be plugged in wrong in the headlight (Two wires are crossed). Take apart the right switch assembly and check for shorts and power from the solenoid ). Check the main wire harness to the handle bar switch for crossed wires (they are color coded).

Starter wont engage.

Are u crossing the terminal at the button end or the starter motor terminals? if the termianal u r crossing is at the starte end check the button terminal end and cross them. It could be just abadly corroded button. If not that replace the starter relay, buy a haynes mannual to see where is located, the mannual will be a good investment.

I have a york 90%+ furnace the inducer fan fills with condensation passing into the pressure switch. I have took apart the condensate pump motor cleaned it and the pan,I have blown thru all condensate...

Make sure that the drain line outside is only about 6" long it may be freezing up. Does the Condensate pump have a safety switch to kill the power if it runs over? If it does it should kill power to the heater. Make sure the drain has a fall. Check the install manual to make sure the hoses are hooked up right.

Jus bought a 91 ninja 600 and wont send any power to the starter

Lets start with the basics...
1. be sure your battery is in good shape and fully charged ( at least 12.6 volts)
2. starting procedure- ignition key to 'on', tranny in nuetral, right hand kill switch to 'run', pull clutch in fully and hit starter button.
3. does it do anything? clicks?... If you get nothing then the problem is likely in the clutch switch, kill switch, or the starter button. You will need a wiring diagram and volt meter to trace down where the power is lost. If you are getting 12 volts to the starter but its not engaging then you can suspect the starter/ solonoid.

PS... My clutch switch has been going bad for a few years now ( Im too lazy to replace such a trivial thing as a safety switch ;). Sometimes I need to hold the start button and work the clutch till the starter engages.

I have a 2000 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. While riding at highway speed I accidently hit the kill switch. At first wasn't sure what had happened. Realized it was a fuel issue... noticed it was the kill switch....

Take the starter button off and put a 12 volt tester on one of the 4 leads that are wired into the button. Test each- If you find a hot line, take a small piece of wire and jump the current over to the other parrallel button. I worked on my bike for two weeks before I discovered this problem. Another problem was that the headlight would not come on. The starter would not crank at all. I took a screw driver and raised the brass leads on the switch so they would make contact and put the switch back together, and it worked. Good luck.
