Check for any possible vacuum leaks. (hose maybe)
Could be a throttle position sensor.
Could just need a good tune up and fuel system cleaning.
Could be a clogged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump.
If you do not have a check/service engine light on, you will just have to start checking things out the hard way.

Is you're side stand completely upright, it sounds as if your safety switch is sticking on your stand wd40, both stand and switch, wipe any residue wd40 of any rubber asit rots it
sounds like a computer issue on the burb, but i would check the IAC(idle air control) valve and the TPS(throttle position sensor) first.
I would start with the IAC on the 93'.
I have a '96 tahoe. Look for a code on the battery to see when it was installed. L09 would be december 09. if it is less than 3 years old have it charged and then try.
