i will cut and paste the info you are looking for from the hd manual. i would sugest to check the sensor wires to see if the came unplugged or melted by the pipe.

Hi Anonymous, and the usual suspects are:
1. Spark plugs in bad condition or partially fouled.
2. Spark plug cables in bad condition or leaking.
3. Spark plug gap to close or to wide.
4. Faulty ignition coil, module and or sensor.
5. Battery nearly discharged.
6. Damaged wire or loose connections at battery terminals,
ignition coil, or plug between ignition sensor and module.
7. Intermittent short circuit due to damaged wire insulation.
8. Water or dirt in fuel system, carburetor or filter.
9. Fuel tank vent system plugged or carburetor vent line closed off.
10. Carburetor controls misadjusted.
11. Damaged carburetor.
12. Loose or dirty ignition module connector at crankcase.
13. Faulty MAP, CKP, and or CMP sensors.
14. Incorrect valve timing.
15. Weak or broken valve springs.
16. Damage intake or exhaust vale.

Trouble Code: P0134

HO2S-11 (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Insufficient Activity

Possible Causes:


HO2S heater is damaged or has failedHO2S signal or ground circuit has a high resistance conditionHO2S signal circuit is open or shorted to system power (B+)HO2S has failed (i.e., it is silicon, water or fuel contaminated)PCM has failed.Sounds like you need a new oxygen sensor,Bank 1 Sensor 1 is located on the exhaust manifold, closest to the front.Here's a link to the firing order,bank one is cylinder one side.Here's the part you need,here's how to replace.

I have a 2000 ss z28 with a code coming up po134 left bank is the left bank the driver side of car? i had 2 make the wire longer 2 fit a long tube header there are 2 dark brown wires if they where switch...


Yes. Left and right is determined from when you are sitting in the car. PO134 is o2 sensor insufficient activity. Bank 1, sensor 1. If you somehow got those wires switched, that would probably do it.

Cheek eng, light is on and it is giving a code po134 but the car is run good.


when the ceck engine light is on you will almost never feeel any difference in the way the car feels or runs your code indicates the following

O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected Bank 1 Sensor 1
You should replace the O2 sensor that is in the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe just off the engine and before the catalytic converter.
