Motorbike light low beam works both hi and low beams and dim. Hi beam, side light work good. Bad earth? Did replace headlight shell with a plastic one, made an earth wire between indicator bolts.

Hi, Anonymous if your headlight is not working, only one beam works, keeps burning out, blinking, or is dim the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, then check your head light bulb socket ground wire for a clean tight connection, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn down solder contacts or loose fit of the bulb base in the socket due to vibration.
3. Worn, chaffed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
4. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
5. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
8. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
9. Weak charging alternator/generator.
10. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier ground or overcharging.

My headlight and horn do not work. The fuses look good and the bulb looks good. Headlight worked before I went out on a ride. It was out by the time I got home.

Headlight not working. Replaced the front signal lights and now no power to headlight. Fuse not blown. Headlight not blown.

Angela, if you know fuse and head light are good, then the relay (if it has one),switch, plug faulty, or wire damaged or not grounding. You can test all with a digital volt ohm meter or take it into a good Tech. and have them diagnose and estimate repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Try changing the LPT port mode in the BIOS- there should be like SPP, EPP, ECP. As I recall there are different drivers for USB and Parallel and I don't think Serial is supported. If you installed HP drivers, Uninstall and use the Windows drivers.
