Question about 1998 Suzuki VS 800 Intruder
BIKE DOESN'T WANT TO GO INTO FIRST GEAR WHEN STOPPPED
Make sure the clutch is disengaging completely. Stop with the engine in gear and rev the engine. If it tries to go the clutch is not disengaging.

Sorry, the tranny is the problem. You have a bent shift fork or two and it isn't a low cost repair. The entire engine gets torn down to get to the bad parts. Contact a dealer and get an estimate for the repair. Chances are it will be over $2000.
