Question about 2010 TVS Apache 150
I was driving my bike TVS apache RTR 160 and all of sudden felt a kind of a blast like sound near the exhaust and the bike did not start after that. Mechanic says engine valve must have got cut. Can anyone let me know how much would the repair work cost approximately?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

So why not just get a set of feeler gages and reset the valve clearances? Getting a new cam is not going to change the need to set the valve clearances. Unless a lack of oil has caused the cam and rockers to self distruct, these parts normally last the life of the bike.
Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

Your bikes exhust pipe might be damaged internally. To increase the mileage please use proper quality fuel, check the timing, get the carburator serviced.

Get a "Haynes" or "Clymer" manual. They give a complete breakdown of the motorcycle. and an idea of any special tools you will need to complete any task.
