I have a small oil leak everything seems tight looks like its coming from "gear case' (where oil goes in) on the badck side Is there a gasket that needs to be replaced maybe?


Yes there is a metal gasket that in between.Do no over torque the bolts though. make sure they are all the same torque which is 5 ft lbs. get to your yamaha dealer and order and new gasket which is part # 5EL-15451-00-00. remove cover and clean off old gasket and oil and install.

My 1100 V-star Classic idles fine. Once i ride it and it warms up it floods. You can hear the fuel pump pumping trying to keep up. It will only start with the choke on at that point.
