Looking at the face of the plug, there should be a center part that is a different color, and can be removed. Once removed, you can use a small pick and release the locking tab on the wire you wish to remove. Hold up on the locking tab, and pull the wire out. When you are done, replace the plug, and all should be fine.

2007 Suzuki Bandit 1250 won't start when hot

Hi, Z your bike starts great when cold but once it reaches operating temperature and the engine is shut off for a few minutes then you try to restart it and it will turn over but will not fire or it doesn't do anything, the usual suspects are:
1. When electronics get hot they build up resistance then stop working. It might be an ignition coil, stator, CDI unit etc. First, you must find out if the spark dies out. When the bike won't start, pull a plug wire off, stick a new spark plug in the end and ground the threads on bare metal while someone cranks the engine over. You should see a nice big blue spark between the spark plug gap. Incorrect spark plug gap will cause or contribute to a no start when hot issue.
2. Fuel Tuners have been known to cause this type of problem, disconnect it and see if resolves the issue.
3. Any engine management sensor could be faulty especially the ones that monitor temperature.
4. Gas cap not venting properly, improperly routed fuel lines they must always go down from the gas tank to the carburetor never in any kind of a loop this will cause a vapor lock. Clogged, bent, kinked, pinched or restricted carburetor vent lines will do the same.
5. Overhead camshaft valves adjusted too tight when cold, this will cause loss of compression when hot, except for pushrod engines they usually get looser when hot.

My Suzuki gsf650 has suddenly refused to start, any ideas?

Hi, David and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
6. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
7. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
8. Faulty ignition switch.
9. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
10. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

Hi, Robert for this scenario you will need the wiring diagram your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Suzuki, despair not, for a mere zero $ you can download another one. For a 2005 GMC yukon 5.3L what are the wire colors that control the IAT sensor There should only be 2 wires controlling it but there are 5 on the connection as it controls the MAF and IAT with the sa

The intake air temp sensor is part of the MAF sensor so yes there are 5 wires.
The two wires that go to the air temp sensor are tan and black. The other three are for the MAF.

IAT SENSOR

what do you mean by control? there is one wire normally pink or white with pink strip that is power 5 volts + black is ground and a reference voltage 5 volts ground is black or white so the other two colors would be the control wires going to the computer. However would need the first 8 numbers of the Vin to know for sure. you can also go to www.alldatadiy.com and purchase a subscription that will give you the exact information you need, they change color codes for wires from time to time and if you hook it up wrong you can destroy the computer so I suggest you purchase the subscription to be sure.
