Yes. It could cause the water to seep into the passenger compartment thru seams in the sheetmetal or the heater box instead of draining onto the ground.

After it rains we have noticed that the rear passenger side floor well gets very wet, sometimes standing water. What could cause this?

water leak at the roof ditch moulding, the rear window seal, or the moon roof drains being plugged.

Does it do it without moving the car? Could be water splash in the wheel well through a sealer skip in a seam.

Facing up hill or down hill or both?

Lift up seat cushion and lift carpet and follow water stain path to source.

My sunroof is leaking a lot onto the front seats. More after rain, but it still leaks for a few days after rain.

While its raining the water is running thru the seal, after the rain the seal shrinks.

Water leak on fwd and back passenger side after every rain storm

pull your carpet up near the leak area and look for muddy body seams. it is possible one of the factory body seams are leaking- possibly in the cowl(under wipers) area, especially if it leaks when the car is sitting. there will be dirt/mud around the seams that are leaking. also you can check door seals by running the car on HIGH DEFROST with all doors and windows closed. spray around with a 50/50 soapy water solution. obviously bubbles will form around your leak.

Water on drivers side floor

It might be a windshield leak. The only way to absolutely determine a water leak is to test with a hose while some sits in the car. Spray water slowly and on specicic area to determine exact place of water leak. Could be windows. door seals, open seams, the list is endless. Do it slow and exact and the leak can be found. Start at the highest point and work down.
