Hi Anonymous, it's probably extremely contaminated with junk/trash/gunk/goop from the fuel tank. Ethanol is not your motorcycles friend. Check your fuel filter and bottom of fuel tank for evil stuff. You might be able to soak it a dish of injector cleaner and high pressure air blow it clean to get it close, then bench test it for function with a battery. If you can't get it to work replace it. Also after you clean your fuel filter and tank pour a bottle of fuel stablizer in with your next fill up. Good luck

What does code P0202 on a 2006 Chevy Cobalt? It says "injector ckt open cylinder 2" but I have no idea what that means! ????

Well you either have a defective injector connector or wiring to it or the injector coil is an open circuit. Swap the injector to a different cylinder and see if that cylinder triggers a code or the code is still for cylinder #2, if triggers a new code the injector is defective, if the same code comes back after being cleared then you have either a bad injector connector or the wires from the PCM are open somewhere. You really need a full function scanner to make this job much easier.

No injector pulse on cylinder number 6 ?

check for power and ground at the injector harness plug. the computer supplies power all the time with the key on then when the car Is running the computer grounds the circuit to allow the injector to function. if you have no power then you will have to check the wiring to find the open. if you have no ground side then you will have to check the ground circuit at the computer. if there is none then you may have an injector driver gone bad. if you have ground at the computer but not at the injector then check the wiring between the two.

2005 fxsti diagnostic codes ? I have (from flashing engine light) 23, 32 & 33. can anyone tell me what they mean before I declare war on google ?

Each code has multiple diagnosis.
You'll need to figure which it is.

The codes mean the following (each code has more than one diagnosis)

23 = Front injector open/low
23 = Front injector high

32 = Rear injector open/low
32 = Rear injector high
32 = Alarm output high

33 = System relay contacts open
33 = System relay coil high/shorted
33 = System relay coil open/low
33 = System relay contacts closed

1986 throttle body injector floods cylinders when key on. nissan 720 pickup

Maybe the injector is shorted out. At any rate it sounds like it is stuck open. You can do an ohm test of the injector, check it's resistance, but I don't know the value you need to look for on this. Just to give you a range to look for, a Chrysler injector's resistance should be 12-15 ohms. Yours should show low resistance as well. If it's open (no value at all) or if the resistance is very high (high ohms reading), it is bad.

In reference to the last statement in your post, no signal will keep it from flooding. An injector is a solenoid and normally closed. The only way to open them is to complete the circuit across their terminals. As long as the key is on, the injector will have a steady 12 volt current available to the injector on the power side. To pulse them or cause them to open, the ecu will ground the circuit for a split second, energizing the solenoid, and causing it to raise the pintle on the injector for fuel to spray out. The ecu will just keep on its merry way, pulsing the injector over and over, never realising the engine is flooded. If it's flooding with the injector connector disconnected, the injector must be stuck open.
Hope this helps you solve it. Good luck.

2007 Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade fuel injectors not working

Hi, Josephashfor fuel injectors fail either electronically due to faulty connection/internal electronic failure or mechanical malfunction pintle stuck due to dirt, grime, and or ethanol sludge. Since some injectors can run $100 or more so it's best to try and resolve the electrical or mechanical issue if possible. The first thing you need to do is check the fuses or the fuel injection system relay for continuity then the injector connection with a test light by turning the ignition switch off and on if there is no continuity backtrack to the ignition switch until you find the bad connection, if ok remove the injector and check it with test leads off your battery for function by touching then removing one of the leads if the injector is functioning properly you will hear and feel the click. If there is no click the pintle could be stuck in the open position due to contamination. If you are on a budget I "HIGHLY" recommend the services of "InjectorRx" above any DIY method, they can repair your injector to optimum performance for only $18 and if it is not repairable there is no charge. There are DIY methods on youtube but there is no guarantee they will work or last any amount of time. Here is what Injector Rx can do for you:
1. The injectors are checked for resistance. If they fail the ohm test they will notify you that your injectors have failed and should be replaced.
2. The injectors are then checked for external cracks and or damage.
3. The injector is now externally cleaned and prepared for the flow test bench.
4. The Fuel injectors are flow tested and the results are recorded.
5. O-rings and filter baskets are removed if possible.
6. The fuel injectors are now placed in an ultrasonic cleaning bath where they are pulsed open and closed for 30 - 40 minutes.
7. The injectors are removed from the ultrasonic cleaning bath and then back flushed to remove any additional grime or dirt.
8. New O-rings and filter baskets are installed (if and when available).
9. The fuel injectors are now tested for spray pattern and atomization.
10. The injectors are once again flow tested, The results are recorded and compared to see if the injector flows properly.
11. If the injectors fail a second cleaning session will be attempted.
12. Once cleanings are finalized the fuel injectors are lubricated and placed in a sealed bag.
13. A flow sheet is prepared and shipped with the injector.
Since they do not sell fuel injectors you can be assured that they will do everything possible to get your motorcycles fuel injector to perform as they should. If they don't succeed they will not charge you for their time.
If you prefer the DIY method then I recommend the test wires to open the injector and spray carburetor cleaner with the straw nozzle inserted in the pressurized end give it a good bath with 3-4 healthy squirts, then blow dry with compressed air, repeat this procedure as necessary depending on the severity of contamination. For future protection, I would recommend pouring in a bottle of Sea Foam Fuel System Cleaner in your fuel tank before your next fill-up and every 2,500 miles thereafter.
