Hi Anonymous, there is a small screw in the side front lower section of primary cover, remove screw and with bike standing upward pour in Sportster Chaincase Lubricant through the inspection cover hole untill it starts to run out of level screw hole. Good luck

Transmission dipstick on xl7

what makes you think there is one,? not in the traditional sense, no.
read the operators guide yet?,
notice that page is missing, (trans checks) there is a DTC for this.
to tell you its time, that is covered in the FSM.

its missing for a good reason, on many newer cars.

AF33-5 trans box>?
fsm quote ( only an ecerpt, not COMPLETE< READ THE BOOK.
Important: Routine inspection of the transaxle fluid is not required. Transaxle fluid inspection is only required if there is a symptom indicating a concern with the fluid.
  1. Park the vehicle on a flat level surface.
  2. Operate the vehicle in order for the transmission fluid temperature to reach the normal operating range. Specification
    Transaxle normal temperature: 60-70 degrees C (140-158 degrees F)
  3. With the engine at idle, manual shift through all transaxle ranges and return to the PARK position. Leave the engine idling.
  4. Clean any dirt or debris away from the area of the transaxle fluid level indicator.
  5. Remove the transaxle fluid level indicator bolt (1) from the transaxle.
  6. Remove the transaxle fluid level indicator (2).
  7. Wipe away any transaxle fluid from the indicator.
  8. Insert the indicator into the transaxle until fully seated.
  9. Remove the indicator and inspect the level and the condition of the oil on the indicator:
    • Transmission fluid level at normal operating temperature (1)
    • Transmission fluid level if cold (2)
  10. If the fluid level is incorrect inspect for the following conditions:
    • Fluid below level, inspect for a leak.
    • Fluid above level, inspect for contamination of the fluid.
Important: The tranaxle uses T-IV fluid, GM P/N 88900925 (Canadian P/N 22689186). The fluid is normally red in color. The oil may darken in color with more miles on a vehicle.

Trans will not go into gear

Check fluid, Sounds like a probleem with the treans if fluid is ok. It is very important to put the correct fluid for chrysler in any chrysler. Many problems are caused by the wrong fluid. If the fluid is ok then the torque converter or trans is bad.

The transmission in my 1980 cadillac deville wont shift into gear. It will go into park but thats it.IS THERE ANY GOOD POSSIBLE CAUSES THAT I SHOULD CHECK BEFORE REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION when i may only...

Check the fluid level. HOT and in neutral. If the level is low or not on the stick it IS the problem. If this isn't the problem, check the linkages to the transmission itself. The torque coverter cannot convert torque if there is no fluid to transfer the power from the output shaft of the engine to the input shaft in the tranny. Your transmission may also suffer from a clogged/dirty filter, or some other restriction in the MANY channels therein.

Adding transmission fluid

Located near the firewall at the back of the engine, passenger side. You'll need a narrow spout type funnel that will fit into the dipstick tube to fill.Oil level should be checked with transmission warmed up or it will be over full if the fluid in the trans is cold.Check the level with the engine running, park brake on and in neutral.Do not over fill or seal failure will occur!

What service should be performed at 90,000 miles on a 2003 GMC Envoy XL?

I would look into a tune-up as the spark plugs are a common cause of issues on this vehicle. I would at the very least remove the plugs and inspect them. If they are fine then it may be a clogged fuel filter.
Check the coolant and oil level

2000 yukon xl will not engage in gear

First thing I would check is Automatic transmission fluid level, you can't fill the clutch packs if there's no fluid available in the pan to do so. Does it move in forward or reverse, are there any whining/grinding noises from underneath?

Your front pump in the transmission could be going bad. Check the transmission fluid for level and condition. The fluid should be bright red and not burnt (dark in color like burgandy). Best thing to do is take it to a transmission shop and have them check your truck for DTC codes with a Tech 2 scanner and have them do a transmission line pressure test. The whining can also indicate low on transmission fluid and that's bad, you may have burnt some of the clutch packs already and shorten the life of your transmission. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

Where is the filler cap for the transmission on a suzuki vitara v6 automatic ?

You add A/T transmission fluid at the same place you check it.
Same place you check the A/T fluid level. You add fluid at the same location.
