There will be a relay for indicators on your bike usually under seat compartments , and also water may have got into the switch for your indicators . check also that the globes aren't blown . these things happen .

Electrical problem please help yamaha r6 2001

Hi, Jason I used to live in Marlow Co. Buckinghamshire back in the day now I'm retired living in Florida yep-yep you need a wiring diagram, forget about finding the source of the problem unless you have nothing better to do, instead splice in a separate wire from the turn signal module/flasher to the indicator light in the speedometer also you may need a load equalizer for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below and for specific questions or answers please feel free to contact me at xlch@mail.com. Good luck and have a nice day.

You have a crossed wire someplace in your wireharness. go back to the dealer and make them change it - it should be under warranty if you bought it new.

Exercise your warranty IMMEDIATELY since you just bought it! If you bought this used, you LIKELY bought someone else's problem. The problem is likely in the digital effects area... probably a bad cable contact... but if under warranty DO NOT mess with it... return it for replacement or repair.

here is 2 things that comes to mind 1 . fuel system has filter problem . if you let your bike set
the filter settles back . that is why it starts again . replace all fuel filter and line if possible .

2. coils have been known to get hot and quit , and cool and work and stop . have coils checked
and replaced .

if this does not help ? I have other solutions........

Alfa romeo car

I have the same problem with y car - think its a loose connection somewhere. Try putting the bonnet up and using a wodge of cloth wiggle it around in the bonnet catch hole. That worked for me - it hardly ever comes up now, and as I know for a fact the bonnet is fully closed I don't worry about it anymore.

However - I also have a prob with my 1998 GTV - which I only bought a few months ago. I've been having problems with the interior fan only working intermittently since I bought it but I could cope with that because it would always come on 5 mins into a journey. Then last week it stopped working altogether (apart from 2 recent 45 min journeys when it came on 40 mins into the journey!!). I now haveto drive round with both windows open to demist the windscreen, which fogs up each time I get out at the end of my journey. I've looked at both fuseboxes and they seem fine - I'd prefer to see if we can fix it ourselves as a visit to an alfa specialist will probably cost a fortune - any help/ideas would be appreciated! Thanks
