Unfortunate you're losing coolant into the cylinders, where it's being burned off and exiting out the exhaust. When you initially added that cold coolant into the hot radiator, and hot engine (sit down) you likely cracked the engine block. Best case you just need to replace the head gasket.

2000 honda accord coolant leak drivers side back of engine

Sounds as if it's coming from the weep hole on the water pump. Water pumps will leak out of the intended weep hole when it's time for replacement and based on the mileage it's definitely time. The coolant will only leak when the engine is not running and will not leak much. Unless you have documentation proving the timing belt was changed at the scheduled interval I highly recommend you have that service performed as well along with a new idler pulley and belt tensioner. You are time and money ahead of yourself to have all of these parts replaced at the same time since the same amount of labor is involved. I recommend finding a reputable independent repair shop that specializes in Hondas and use only OEM parts. Be sure to specify OEM-only and clarify not OEM-comparible parts. Good luck.

My coolant is leaking and its a big possibility it might be the water pupm or radiator but i think its just a hole in the container that holds the coolant, is ok if i put water in there constant to keep...

Stop leak is a temporary solution and never a long term fix. You need to locate the source of the leak and replace the faulty part. I also doubt that the coolant overflow reservoir is leaking unless something has been done to the vehicle to damage it.

Using water rather than the correct spec coolant mix as a top up is NOT recommended (even for a short period) because, among other things, the coolant mix provides lubrication for the water pump. Constantly adding water rather than the correct coolant mix dilutes the coolant mix and it becomes ineffective.

Your engine needs an efficient cooling system to survive so have the leak investigated and fixed saspo.
If you allow the engine to overheat you will cause very expensive engine damage and end up with a car you will not be able to drive. It is always cheaper to fix the problem.

Radiater overheating occor when a short riding, model 1994 ,super 4 ,Handa

Is the motor overheating???? or are you getting a coolant overflow from putting to much coolant in the radiator.Bikes don't have coolant catch tanks like cars.So they have a pipe that overflows onto the ground.Look at this 1st
Hope this helps

My car's fanbelt broken on high speed and I saw the temperature raised so I stopped immediately before it could overheat but then I saw the water leak out. After replacing the fanbelt I put Water in again...

Hi,
You did well by shutting down quickly.
Why did the water come out when you stopped after the fan belt broke???
Residual engine heat. The engine has fiery explosions going on in the cylinders. Very hot.
Antifreeze flowing through the water jackets of the engine carry this heat away. Fan belt breaks, water pump stops pumping this very hot coolant away, engine temp goes up.
Thus the coolant temp rises enough to boil and push the coolant past the pressurized radiator cap out the overflow onto the ground.
I would recommend a fifty fifty blend of antifreeze and water for coolant. It just cools better.
Not seeing any leaks is very good. Smart thinking on your part saved you money.

In town my engine temp reach to 108 degree of centigrade.if this temp is harmful for engine, please help me.thankyou

Petrol engines like to run at or just below boiling point. The radiator is pressurised and that stops the coolant from boiling. I would not be happy if it got any hotter as I would worry that the coolant may expand too much and leak.
Try using less power on hot days when in traffic and keep moving the air through the radiator.
Hope this helps.

The engine coolant has a leak. How long before it goes into the engine and ruins it?

Hi my name is Tom and I am here to help. I am going to take a stab at your problem and guess that by a leak you mean that coolant is coming out of a spot near the engine. If this is the case the coolant will never get in the engine.

The coolant is a separate system from the oil that lubricates the engine. The only way coolant can get into the engine is if the head gasket is leaking. A quick fix is to add a "stop leak" that you can purchase at any auto parts store.

The powdered(aluminum)works the best. It simply plugs the leak from the inside. You will need to run the car for 30 minutes or until the leak stops. I have been successful with this in each case of a small leak. The only problem is if you do not seal well enough the aluminum will back flow and reopen the leak. I think it is worth a try. If I can answer and question feel free to email me.

There seems to be an airlock in the system, as for the thermostate you can remove it check it out, fill in some water in a pan, insert the thermostate in it and heat up the water..you will see the thermostate ,if functioning start to open around 82 degrees centigrade or so.
Hope this helps!

1991 honda accord- coolent leaked out from water pump area but water pump seems fine-also when car is ideling car would have little power surges and come close to dying - any ideas

for the water pump leaking, get some engine coolant stop leak from any automotive store, it usually contains pump seal lubricant also. the power surges are a separate problem from your pump leak.
