You could purchase a service manual for the 250. Then you will need tools, some very special. You will need a place to work and probably a mechanic friend to look over your shoulder from time to time. You should speak with the parts guy or gal at the Kawasaki shop considering the parts you will need for this 25 year old motorcycle. I'm sorry, you can not get step by step instructions on how to reassemble an engine here

Since you are this far along, you may well want to consider the actual condition of the engine. Bore clean and smooth? Piston? Bearings, etc. You may also want to consider the general condition of the bike. Consider, when you are all done, you will have a very expensive 25 year old motorcycle. This is not impossible but it will be an involved expensive project.

hi.
a clutch sticking on after storage is not unusual. i find that if i put the bike in 2nd gear, pull the clutch lever in and rock the bike back and forth quite hard a few times that the clutch will free off. just make sure that the ingintion is turned off, or the lead is removed from the spark plug, to make sure that the bike cannot start. this has never failed me yet, and some of the bikes i have done this with were stored for quite a number of years. hope this helps

Won't tick over

Depends how mechanically minded you are, basics to start are: strip and clean carbs, put fresh fuel in the tank (remove old fuel first) change spark plugs, oil, oil filter and air filter.

I have a yamaha virago xv250 03' model. Its done

first thing to do is to drain oil from your motorcycle use wrench 17(size may vary) to open the bolt under your bike and place a drain bucket under it, then remove spark plug using spark plug remover, as for the filter you can use a cross screw driver to remove the air filter, once you replace the spark plug and the air filter let the oil subside for about 3hrs, then return the bolt and place new oil, i dont know if this help but i hope it will

NO SPARK

I don't know what has been done or checked so some of the following may not apply. Electrics are not my best skill but I will share what I know.

How good is your battery? A low battery can kill spark. Get a new stock spark plug for your bike. Test for spark by grounding the threads of the plug against the cylinder. Have a friend kick the bike while you watch for spark. Assuming no spark, then check the handlebar kill switch with an Ohmmeter to be sure the switch is working properly. Some bikes have a side stand kill switch. Check your bike and check the switch. Sometimes the switch goes bad.

Check the wiring harness, even under the gas tank. Are all the connectors clean and with a tight connection? Any abraded wires? Check the ignition switch also. The switch can go bad as well. Are the flywheel coils good? That's my best when no spark is present.
I hope this helps.
