Question about 2004 Suzuki LS 650 Savage

Week throttle response on a very low rpm 1000 or 2000 maximum.

I'm having problems with my 2007 gsxr 1000. the problem is when i twist the throttle quickly on 1000 or 2000 rpm on first or second gear and on third it does not matter, when ever the rpm's are on 1000 or 2000 and i quickly accelerait by twisting the throttle quickly, i don't get the full power that i used to get when i bought the bike. the bike has an open filter K&N and was in great power response when i bought it until now BUT not on the 1000 or 2000 rpm, On 3000 and more the bike launches like a missile, so baisically the bike stauls for a second or does not give the power that it should give for a half second and after the rpm's are 3000 and more you better hold on tight to the handel bars.

the problem occured after 3 weaks when i installed the yoshimura open dual tip exhaust. the lambda sensor is installed correctly, the ex up system works as it should be. i thought it was the ex up so i disabelled it and nothing happened so i put it back on at the suzuki service center.

no know the problem!! even at the suzuki srvice center, they first changed the TPS and we added a special chemical with fuel to clean all the injection system and nothing happened . the problem stays.

today they changed the throttle body with the injectores and nothing normal. the bike still is not giving the proper power on the low rpm's.

i even installed back the original exhaust and still no change.

please advice me what could be the problem. for someone who does not ride my bike and take it for a ride it will be very hard for him to feel what i'm talking about, but for me it's very important, it's like i'm loosing torque on the low rpm's it became like a 600 on the 2000 rpm.

please advice thanks.

regards

if the lambda sensor was not working or not cnected properly the F I light will be on, also the suzuki service center checked the bike on the computer to diagnose the problem but everything was fine. the FI light is not on , so the problem is hidden. if the EX up was not working the FI light will indicate.

Hi..
Don't push you engine to much above 3000 RPM. Sounds like your turbo isn't working, would go to a dealer and let the read out the ECU and hope your turbo isn't dead or you will have big costs...

thank u

You may want to check for loose sensor connections.  It also seemed you have issues on the set valve in the exhaust.  This usually happens when you change an exhaust system.  At times this can cause the FI light to go off.  You may have these checked.  Other enthusiasts has this removed.  I suggest to look at this and have the removal as a last option.

My suzuki gsxr 600 does not want to pick up more then 4,000 rpm`s but i was running fine just a while ago. i turned it off and then back on and it fixed. what should i check?

You may have had some water in your fuel it was choking on. The fuel filter could be needing changed. The fuel/air mixture sensor/regulator may be malfunctioning. You may have a failing fuel pump. Ad gum-ou tand gas dry to the tank... see if this clears it up. Also you may need to change out the fuel filter.

I have a 2007 gsxr 600 that idles around 1500 rpm's....how can I bring it back down to 900...I've already tried the idle screw

Make sure you have enough freeplay in your throttle cables. They're located up by the twist throttle.

Yes, could be dirty carbs, but it sounds like a bad throttle cable to me. Check your throttle cable. It should operate with no binding, and it must freely spin back to closed when released from any position, especially full throttle. Try this procedure several times (with the bike turned off), while turning the handlebars to both stops and testing this freeplay. The throttle should operate freely throughout the entire left/right travel, including at both stops. The cable can/should be lubed, if needed. Your user manual should list a procedure for that. Also, put some penetrating lubricating oil (I prefer ProLong super lubricants myself) on all the throttle linkages, too. They tend to bind up with age. If it still sticks, you might get lucky and get away with using a high-quality fuel system cleaner to help free up the carb float response. Otherwise, you probably will need to have them disassembled and cleaned. As long as you're in there, get 'em synched, too. Good luck!
