Trouble codes are stored until such time they are cleared from the memory. Usually the memory can be cleared by disconnecting the negative battery cable from the battery for several seconds If the 'Management light' comes back on check for more codes.

Engine management fault fitted map sensor and still wont start

Check that the hose for the MAP sensor is not disconnected or blocked. Then check that the vacuum port for the hose is clear on the engine side. After that, start looking at a shorted wire.

Speedometer odometer rpm guage quit

this is going to be one of two things, the first thing i would check is the speed sensor but if the sensor was bad you would have a check engine light on and ****** would not shift normal, if you have a engine light on and shifting problems then replace the speed sensor on the ****** also to double check you can go to any auto parts store and they will scan the computer for codes for check engine light and if theres a speed sensor code then replace the sensor and that will solve the problem but if theres no eng light and van shifts the same then i will say you need to replace the cluster (speedometer). this is replace complete with all the gauges.i have done alot of these, we just get used ones, the mileage wont be the same but so what its alot cheaper than a new one. good day hope this is helpful.

Check engine light wont turn on when starting up at all

sounds like you need to reset your brain. It can happen sometimes. Especially if you have had any recent repairs. The check engine like can also come on when hit a bump and it shakes your O2 sensor.

To reset it, try one of these two tips:

1. Place the key in the ignition. Turn the key to the "on" position, but don't start it. Then turn it off and on again 5 or 6 more times.

2. If the first doesn't work, you can disconnect your battery cables for a few minutes and then replace them.

These tips should reset the codes in your vehicles brain so that the light no longer comes on.

If it comes on again though, you will want to make sure to double check that a new problem hasn't occurred, or to make sure there are still no problems.

What is the resistance measurement on a cam sensor for a 2.4 litre on a 2004 sonota i replaced the crank sensor and timing belt but car wont start all marks are on and i have my voltage referances for the...

The cam sensor will NOT prevent the engine from starting...it will set a DTC if it is malfunctioning. Did the 'Check Engine' Light come ON? Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on. You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE and perhaps eventually fix the problem. SUGGESTION: Perhaps the problem isn't electrical... It could be fuel/pressure.

Engine management light

When you bring it to the garage, they should provide you with the code, or codes that would tell you what the issue is. The code probably referred to something with the O2 sensor system, so that's why they changed the sensor, but a lot of other issues with the system can generate the same code. I don't believe the fully checked your car, but just rather wanted to do it quick

Problems with the starter,it wont start when the engine is cold

The problem you describe has many possible causes (usually an EMS (Engine Management System) sensor and/or circuit) which are most difficult to diagnose without a Check Engine light coming ON. Does the Check Engine light come ON when this happens? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we
can go from there. If the Check Engine light didn't come ON at any time, this becomes guess work & that can get expensive... suspected part after part after part. Since you mentioned the problem doesn't occur until the vehicle sits overnight, I suspect a sensor is starting to malfunction when it cools down, or connections to the fuel pump, crank position sensor going bad, oxidation of electrical wiring/connectors/pins, etc, etc. Sometimes simply disconnecting a component and reconnecting it solves the problem - difficult to impossible to say with any accuracy/certainty.
