Question about 2011 kawasaki KLX 110
When push the electric start button, nothing happens. No lights and no engine start; there are no sounds at all...no clicks, ticks or vibrations. When kick start, the light will come on on the electric start, but it is still unresponsive. Is it starter? Starter sensor? Relay? Solenoid? Or am I not even close because of electric start light activity after kick start?
Have you tried sqeezing in the clutch lever while hiting the start button?

Check continuity at the kill switch? sidestand switch? Either could be malfunctioning. What does your manual tell you about the starter relay circuit?

SOURCE: Starting fault
There is also a safety switch on the clutch lever that could give the same symptoms.
Another thing to check is the fuse block that has a starter relay built in (hidden) above the fuse compartment. My D5 has the same symptoms and this is the problem. If I keep the starter button depressed for some seconds the relay operates and bike starts.

the starter hase a loose field inside the starters casing. That will cause the armature to rub and short out the entire electrical system when hitting the starter button. At times it will not in your case therefore the bearing or armature shaft is bent or very worn causing this to happen at times.

If everything is on and all voltages are proper at the proper time, all that is left is the starter motor. If it is as you say, the engine must be removed to do it, you may want to talk to the service manager at your Kawasaky shop. This is not a job for the faint of heart, and it does require special skills, tools and knowledge.
