2008 Honda XL 700 V Transalp no spark

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting/leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or electronic control module.
7. Faulty pulse coil.
8. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
9. Faulty ignition switch.
10. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
11. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

Well, after you're pass the gravel road, is there a way to replace the air once you're back on pavement?

Bike keeps cutting out especially in slow traffic- I can see the Spark arcing out to the manifold- Mark

I would replace the cables that are arcing out and tie them up out of the way.
Hope that helps.

I have just bought a brand new Transalp but i am struggling with the seat height, can you recommend ways of lowering the ride height by at least 30mm

you could adjust the rear shock to a softer setting the bike manual should show this adjustment, or have some seat foam removed by your local upholstry store

Why my moto shakes when I have my tail box on it? Can I fix it?

your tail box could be to heavy for the bike and its throwing the center of graverty of the bike out by putting to much wate past the rear wheel witch is lifting the front wheel up causing the insterbility its like having a fat person on the back leaning right backwards,,,try holding the bike down then when your pulling away fast,, it just flips over,!! or worst still is a fat pillion rider who insists on leaning the wrong way on bends,
(thats how i lost the wife,,,went close to a tree on a bend????)

Fuel lines movig up and down and oil indicator was flushing

Sounds like not a problem at all. If this happens when just the ignition is on and before the bike has been started.- This is normal operation. The fuel is just signaling reserve as it does not yet have a reading and any oil light on any bike would stay on or flash before the bike has started/been running.

Transalp XL700V Headshake (shimmy)

there is not as much rake and trail on a dual sport as say a cruiser type making the straight line steering less stable at higher speeds than a bike w/ more rake and trail.,but on the other hand , much less steering effort and slow speed manueverability at lower speeds on the dual sport. raise front wheel up off ground and secure bike. come around to front of bike, kneel down and grab bottom of forks and pull & push front to back looking for steering stem bearing play if any tighten steering stem & recheck not too tight -steering should flop over when just off center ,if not -too tight loosen just enough.if still play after tightening, check bearing condition. also check front wheel bearing for play, and look for leaking fork seal, finally look for uneven tread wear caused by these conditions.make sure tire is properly inflated.
