2002 vw passat epc light comes on and when slowing down engine shuts down showing code 0322 what is my problem

Code P0322 states: Ignition/ Distributor Engine speed input circuit NO SIGNAL. the sensor is on the left side(as you sit in the vehicle) of the engine block near the transmission flange. Know this, codes do not tell you if the part is bad necessarily just where to look. Wires and connectors can fail too. I don't know how to test this sensor without a scan tool, the good kind. Which i don't have.

I have1998jeep cherokee that i need to replase transmission it has an input&output speed sensor the replasment transmission just has an output speed sensor i need to know if it will work without d

Craig, Sorry to tell you that this unit will not work for your application. Your vehicles computer controls require a input and ooutput speed sensor signals to determine shift points. Without the input speed sensor signal the computer will assume its failed and go into limpin mode where it locks in 2nd gear and will not shift. This unit has baiscly identical except for yours that you remvoed is fully electronic as the used unit you have is partially electronic and hydro.
Sorry Man,Hope I answered your question
Sincerely
Roger

Po717

P0717 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor A Circuit No Signal, no its not what you may think,, don't go looking for a turbo or anything, heres what it means

The computer wants to know if the transmission is working properly. So it reads the speed of the input shaft and compares it to the speed of the output shaft. It knows which gear you're in because it commanded the transmission to shift into that gear. So, with the input speed, the gear selection, and the output speed, the computer can calculate how efficiently the transmission is working. If the speed is off, it knows that something is slipping inside the transmission. It can then try to boost the fluid pressure to compensate. If that doesn't work, it sets a different trouble code.

The P0717 code means that the computer isn't getting any signal from the sensor. Either the sensor is dead or there's a circuit issue (bad wiring, etc).

Do my 94 isuzu have speed cable or sensor.my speed and milage counter stoped working

You have 2 sensors on the very end of the tranny, one for speed and the other for I have no idea what, Tachometer, I don't know. But I know one is the speedo. I have a book somewhere here but it is not in front of me or else i could tell which one it is. I have a tranny in the back yard if you want some parts, I also have a spare dash board. Hope this helps.

if you put in speed sensor make sure you didnt cross thread the sensor this would be bad
if you also got a code for the speed sensor remember you have to clear your codes when your works done but before you clear them right them down so you know what codes was in your truck use a scan tool to clear codes
