Remove ignition The bike is stuck in park. My handles bars are locked and I cant do anything. My key will push down and turn slightly, but not all the way out of the park position. I don't know what to do. I've already tried graphite lock lube and tried a new key. I don't know what to do from here.

SOURCE: ignition is stuck in park on my kawasaki zzr250

I'm going to assume the steering is locked as well.
Two things usually hand Kaw's up like this. 1 - make sure wheel is 'free' - NOT against stop (lock_ 2 - jiggle the key up/dwn left/rt while trying to remove it
In the future use graphite on lock mechanisms. Oil attracts grit and gums up.
Good luck!

SOURCE: bike cuts out when i turn the handle bars on full

Sounds like the insulation on some of the ignition wiring is worn through, and on full lock is making electrical contact with ground.

SOURCE: I just got a kawasaki

Hello, you have tried all the things that would help, one other thing you can try is get a new key cut (from your existing key), what happens is the sides of the key actually wears out and this also affects the operation, its not guaranteed but it may help. Also try pushing the key in as you twist and pull it out a fraction and twist. Being a new bike this should not be happening, also after you spray the WD40 if you have access to a air compressor, blow the the key hole out, you may have to hold the hole open with a fine screw driver, there may be dirt stuck in there. If all fails than a master lock smith will be your last solution.

I cant start the car the key wont turn in ignition

Last time i had this problem, my car wasnt all the way in park, so what i would try is:
1: apply the break
2: push up on the gear shift, to make sure its in park.( if you can move the gear out of park, move it all the way to drive 2, then back to park.
3: try the key again

Insert the key and whilst pushing the key gently down try wiggling/turning the key at the same time as wiggling the handle bars.

How do I remove my key from the ignition it is stuck ?

If putting the car in Park doesn't help, try turning the steering wheel slightly. I've had a couple cars that would lock the key until you moved the wheel.

What if jiggling steering wheel does not correct stuck ignition?

Pull or push the auto transmission gear selector slightly further in each direction from the "park" position. The key can not be removed unless the car is in park. If the gear selector is not in the exact spot needed - the ignition will not move to allow the key to be removed. Likewise, if the car battery is dead, you may not be able to remove the key until you connect to another car with jumper cables to energize the ignition circuits.

Good luck!

Key stuck in ignition

We just had this same problem today!!! We have a 2006 Ford Focus and the car would start and we could still drive it, but the key locked in the ignition and would not come out. We tried everything, but what worked was to move the black sleeve (has three plastic rings at top close to handle bar) around the gear shift handle bar, up. It was pushed down about a half inch and it took some pressure to pull upwards, but once we pulled the plastic black sleeve around the gear shift handle bar up, the key came out! Easy as pie!!! Saved hundred of dollars! YAY!!!

2001 yamaha yzf 600r the key is turned to lock

you need to take the pressure off the steering, example, hold the steering just slightly off the full left or right position. Wiggle or move the handle bars slightly and try turning the key. Sometimes there may be too much pressure on the steering lock for it to move, Also some thing eles to try, try pushing down on the key as you turn it. Hope this helps.

My key is stuck in my ignition

your problem is a solenoid Worth about 500 bucks in your steering column there is a small cover on the bottom of your steering column take this cover off and stick a pen up inside to push the button in this will release your key. a permanent solution is to jam something inside to hold the button in all the time. it wont hurt anything i've had mine like this for over a year
