1992 suzuki gsx600f no spark when earthed

You may have gotten something wet. Try blowing out the spark plug caps on the wires. Blow off the wires and coils and their connections too. A coil can cause this but usually not on all cylinders.

There is two wires from the ignition unit, an earth cut out and an earth return, by pulling both wires away from the ignition unit will diss connect the switch completely, crank the engine at normal start speed to check for a spark.

Ignition mystery! 1994 GMC Suburban 2500 5.7 mtr. No spark to spark plugs. Have spark from coil to distributor. Have changed coil wire, cap, rotor, ignition module, and coil. have 12.5 volts going to...

I guess you could have the ignition analyzed on an oscilloscope. Maybe a tech could see something then.
I always heard the only gap was the spark plug gap-the rotor has no gap-are you sure you got the correct rotor? And does it touch the top distributor cap coil wire tower?

Let us know. It is a mystery worthy of a solution.

If you are "earthing" it to aluminum,..it will not spark.Use an inline spark tester.

No spark in the plug

If you have no spark at the plug, start by removing the cut out wire from the ignition switch and try again, if still no spark remove the covers and dissconnect the earth cut ot wire from the ignition unit itself, if still no spark check the air gap between the unit and the flywheel, this should be 0.3 mm, do all these test with a new spark plug, if still no spark then you need to replace the ignition unit itself.

2000 triumph 1200 , coils keep burning out ! could there be a short ? or over amp problem ?

check all the connectors, including the ones coming out of the stator.
fit new plug caps , if your using the old ones on the new coils, they can have a resister in them that can burnout and create high resistance, which can damage coils. make certain the spark plugs are correct for the model.
If you ever check for spark make certain there is a plug in each lead and it is grounded to the engine.

make sure the earth wires from the battery are good and there should be an earth from the frame to the engine

check voltage across battery (aprox values)
12.5v bike stopped
13.5-14v engine running

O3 rm 125 has no spark

check simple things first like, spark plug, try a new one or the plug cap,a bad earth frame connection in relation to the ignition system, cdi unit earth, ecu frame earth etc, etc 1. check the kill switch. 2.check the resistances in the high tension coil. Primary around 0.6 ohm, secondary around 15~20k ohms. 3 . check the output source coil , black/red~ red/white it should carry about 20~ 28 ohms with an output of around 30 volts. 4. last but not least check the pulse coil. red~ green 85~ 115 0hms.Glad to help Red.

Kawasaki zx 6r, no ignition spark from plugs. Coils get 12 v. it seems that cdi is working as griund seems to be cut when trying to star. I have checked the plugs against motor and frame.

check your spark plugs leads
the CDI unit need to be tested for power and make sure that no wires are touching the frame as this could stop your ignition .
the cut off switch could be faulty too .
check all power sources around your motor as a wire could easely burned and earth itself .
