Check to see if a piece of the chain tensioner broke off and is plugging and oil port or line.

SOURCE: i need a 2004 harley davidson roadking service

You stated you don't need the list. So what is it exactly do you need?
If it's just an oil change there are a couple things you should know before you start. First and foremost is get the right oil filter wrench. I went through this and thought I could handle it with the filter wrenches I had. Big mistake. Spend the money and get yourself a good filter wrench. It will pay for itself first use. The best one I found was a cup with a portion of the back edge cut out. This is clearance for the crankshaft position sensor. I included a link to a pic of the type I got. The only other thing to be aware of is the o-ring on the oil drain plug. Just make sure you check it for damage. As for oil I used Red Line. It's always worked great in my autos and there are no issues with invalidating the warranty.
Hope this helps. But if not or you just need other info let me know and I can give it to you straight out of the service manual.
Good luck.

There is sound in the chain and the oil is not going to the tintioner when engine is hot

What year?? If 2003 or earlier, then you need to replace the timing chain guides/tensioners. BUT you said of no oil going there (do you have oil pressure light on in your dashboard??? If so, then you have oil pressure issue, meaning likely oil pump failure), that usually a bad sign of engine failure soon.

What to do if nylon guides on cam chain tensioners have broken down (dissolved) into oil system on Harley Davidson motorbike

The nylon guides will not dissolve in the oil. They will however, wear down and the small bits will be caught in the oil filter. Replace the chain tensioners, change the oil and filter.

Good Luck

I need someone to tell me how to replace the timing chain on a 04 Honda rebel. I have tried and tried to get someone somewhere that knows how and just can't find anyone.

The cam chain is a endless chain. You will have to split the cases to replace it forcing you to remove the engine from the bike.
I have a 2005 rebel with 38,000+ miles on it and still have the factory chain. What makes you replace it. Unless there was mechanical damage or you put a lot of mile on it you shouldn't need to replace it. It also has an auto tensioner in it so you don't have to adjust the cam chain.

If you take the valve cover off you will see the top of the chain. try to wiggle the chain. If there is no freeplay between the chain and sproket then your chain should be fine. If the chain pulls away the sproket then it needs replaced.

Rebels don't have oil filters so it is important you change your oil often. the drain plug has a little "crush" washer on it. that MUST be replaced every time you change your oil. You can pick one up at a motorcycle shop for about 90 cents. If you reuse or remove the crush washer eventually your threads will strip and/or the blot will back out when your going down the road. and the drian hole is positioned where the oil will leak out right under your rear tire.

I have a 2005 F150 5.4 litre. My oil pressure guage says the pressure is fine. Quite often, my truck simply just dies and the warning info. comes on saying I have low oil pressure ?? Could this be caused...

Hello, The oil pressure sender is a possibility. Testing the old one wouldn't be worth it as these parts are inexpensive. You may want to contact the Dealer with your Vin# about "Cam Phasers". It is also possible the "idle motor" ISO is letting the RPM drop too low which affects the oil pressure.

Back to the "Cam Phasers", for a few years on DOHC, double cam engines, as these parts wore there were problems with timing, noise and idle. These parts worked with oil flow. Since you are getting a low oil flow and a dying engine it would be good to have this part checked. It is important to use the correct oil and filter to maintain the function of the "Cam Phasers". There is an extended warranty for this problem which I believe runs 7 years.

Poulan Pro Chain Saw Bar Chain Oiler Stopped Flowing

The filter can usually be caught with a hooked wire and drawn up far enough to deal with the filter. Oil filters are not prone to plugging unless the oil used is contaminated. If you run the engine without the bar and chain attached, oil should ooze out of the engine side port. If nothing, suspect problems with the oil pump. Some saws use a plastic gear in the pump and can strip the teeth of the gear. You should find it located behind the clutch assembly. Once you have oil flowing from the engine, clean the bar drive-end oil ports that go from the large holes out to the chain groove on each side. Finally, run the bar tip near some cardboard--it should throw off a thin line of oil. I have no idea what the plastic tube might be (a manual pumper perhaps?). Hope this helps!

Oil pressure light on at idle

i really hate to say but im betting that internally there is components wore over tolerance. most popular is cam bearings wore and leaking by. in most cases lack of oil changes or frequent short trips cause sludge to build up in engine and cause oil passesges to become restricted and the cam being high in the engine, this sees the most slime build up and starves the most for oil... as engine warms, oil thins, and the problem becomes urgent. i hope this helps but sure sounds like you need some internal re working done

The CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) system is installed to the chain sprocket of the exhaust camshaft. There is no variation in valve timing of the exhaust cam because the exhaust camshaft is driven by the timing belt. The timing of the intake cam is varied by the relative operation the CVVT vane to the housing. This system helps the engine decrease exhaust gases and increase engine power and fuel economy by changing the valve open/close timing of the intake camshaft. The deviation of the camshaft position from the target point is evaluated during stable driving condition. The PCM accumulates this deviation for a certain period and sets DTC P0010 when the accumulated deviation is too high. The target camshaft position is a predetermineded value depending on engine speed and throttle angle communicated to the PCM. The MOST FREQUENT CAUSE is DIRTY OIL. The NEXT most frequent cause is restriction/obstruction of OIL FLOW to the CVVT unit (oil control valve supplies this). Remove this valve & inspect it for aluminium flashing (bits of metal which might be interferring with the valve's operation). We use Z-MAX treatment to solve this problem at our service center (after changing oil & filter (genuine Hyundai Oil Filter).b0f9f5a.jpg
