Hi Anonymous, check your battery terminals and connections, especially the negative cable at both ends, make sure they are clean and tight. Have a battery load test done along with a charging system test. To help point you in the right direction please visit the website below:

Draw on battery over night, test light still on when i removed all fuses, not alt, not voltage reg, not battery, so wat now?

Probably the alternator is not giving enough time to charge the battery and the battery is partially discharged when you drive the vehicle. At Wal-mart you can buy a digital guage you plug in into your sigarett lighter and it will tell you the Battery voltage and when you drive it will show you the alternator voltage. The cost is less then $5.00. I have one. A red light indicate a malfunction with the alternator and or the battery.

Hi, I have a Samsung R1 mp3 player. The battery had completely run out so I put it on charge and it starts up with the samsung screen then it goes onto the R1 on the screen but it freezes after that! I...

Some batteries never recover from an over discharge condition. When you connect it for charging it will show recharging indication but won't soak up any charge. Only way out is to replace the battery especially if its more than 2 year old when you over discharged it.Over discharging is when your battery voltage drops below 30% of its full voltage.

Purchased a Frigidaire PLMVZ169HCA Microwave in May 2009. It has quit heating up food. Everything else works. I cleared the demo.

It sounds like the magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.

This is a job for a professional but if you are safety clued up, here's instruction.
Make sure the !!!!any capacitors are discharged!!!!! before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8 or moving coil meter on high resistance range for short circuit, (DVM's won't show the fault!), the capacitor can fail and go short circuit, the feed fuse on the primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the magnetron is best checked by substitution.
Hope that helps.

After starting my 2009 BMW R1200GS the fuel guage showed over half a tank, it was warming up and then the low fuel warning light came on. The fuel guage is completely blank, no bars at all. Any thoughts on...

The fuel gauge sensor on my 2008 1200GS Adventure was defective and needed replacement. On my first ride after buying it new from the dealer it showed full (all bars), but ran out of gas on my first ride. No further problems, and it is now 40,000 miles.
Hope this helps.

I have a 95 Chrysler LeBaron. The Battery Guage won't move. Shows no voltage. I replaced the Aternator, and the guage still does not move.

Is your guage an Amp guage or Volts guage. Amp guages do not move unless there is a short to ground, the volt guage moves as the alternator charges and discharges. If you have a Volt guage more than likely you need to replace it.

Alternator test shows 14 volt meter stays at 10 and sometime jumps to 12

Assuming that you checked alternator voltage at the alternator itself, this would indicate that you have a bad guage or bad connections elsewhere. Start by pulling the dash panel out and measuring the voltage behind the guage. If the voltage is 14 or so then you have a bad guage. If the voltage is low, check around in other locations behind the panel to see if you can find better voltage there. If not, you need to start tracing the charge circuit to find out where you are loosing voltage. You may have a bad engine ground.

Panasonic 1250 Watt genius microwave- will not cook. message refer to operators manual before use. Have owned for several years, has run afew times after unplugging for a few minutes, then nothing. clock,...

Confirm 110-120 volts AC is entering the primary coil on the high voltage transformer....meter works but can be fooled, I usually rig up a light socket and household light bulb and hook that to the 2 input wires for the transformer and see if the light works or not when you run the microwave....can even set a power level and watch the light go on and off. Discharge the capacitor first before attempting any checks or tests.

Scary but works!....

If ok, put those 2 wires back on the transformer. Discharge the capacitor .
Remove the 2 wires going to the the microwave a few seconds ( 2-3 ) and remove power....again discharge the high voltage capacitor . If you got a good crack&spark when you discharge the cap the second time you are creating high voltage but not using it ( bad magnetron or loose High Voltage wire somewhere )....if you get no crack&spark you are not creating high voltage.

How to check a common high voltage diode - click here. Check the diode with one end off/disconnected....should show continuity one way, reverse your meter leads and none the other way.....many meters are not high/good enough and often show no continuity ( infinity ) in both directions. A full continuity reading in both directions  (0 ohms) on the diode may be shorted/bad one!
Many  microwaves however have a defect in the microwave distribution system which causes the magnetron tube to overheat and cut out and/or damage the diode.
