Remove ford 4000 steering wheel

Screw the nut off until it is just slightly above the shaft level but still has several threads engaged. Then pull the wheel up as hard as possible towards you. At the same time have someone hit the nut sharply with a brass hammer or similar. The shock should free the wheel on the spline, then remove nut completely and take wheel off! Brass or similar is best to use so the nut does not get damaged...

My new toliet seat dosent seem to screw on properly its all wobblerly its going from side to side

You probably just need to tighten mounting screws. Most screws are covered by a cap or cover that snaps into place. You should be able to unsnap the cover with a small blade screwdriver or knife point. Use a wide blade screwdriver on the slotted head screw on top to tighten while holding retaining nuts on the underside of toilet. Some of the screws and nuts are plastic so you should be able to hold the nuts by hand while using screwdriver to tighten screws. If you can't hold nuts by hand use pliers. Some use brass screws and nuts so use proper size wrench to hold nut. Hope this helps you. Thanks

Kia rotor

Slightly loosen tire lug nuts, raise car with jack, remove lug nuts and wheel, remove caliper bolts from brake calipers. Open cap on brake fluid reservoir, place folded towel over top of reservoir and set cap on the paper towel to hold it in place, use a large 9-inch C-clamp to squeez in on front brake pad about 1/8 inch. REmove caliper from rotor. Hang caliper from shock coils with strong bungie strap so there is no pressure on the brake line. Remove bolts from caliper plate and remove caliper plate. Using oversized phillips screwdriver end attached to a 3/8 inch flex wrench, you will carefully put light pressure in a counter-clockwise direction to remove the brass screws and tap the flex wrench at the same time with a large 3-pound hammer driving the screwdriver end into the top of the screw as you put more pressure on the wrench to loosen the screw. This is about the only way to remove brass screws without "damaging them" and they are a dealer item not found in parts store. There should be two screws holding the rotor on. Then spray liquid wrench or penetrating oil into all holes on rotor toward center to help dissolve rust. Wait three minutes then tap rear of rotor lightly with large hammer taking care NOT to hit the thin metal rotor shield. Eventually, this tapping force will loosen the rotor. Use same technique of tapping the flex wrench when applying pressure to wrench to tighten the brass screws when replacing the rotors.

Problem fixing rivets in holes for landrover freelander side steps riv nuts just keep spinning round

if you dont have the rivnut tool the easy way to get rivenuts to tighten up is to get a bolt and nut longer than what comes in the kit (stainless steel a better choice). place the nut in vice and using a hack saw cut some groves at right angles accross face of the nut,or use a file set at an angle . when you are satisfied that the nut has enough sharp edge's , this is what is going to hold the rivnut in place while you turn bolt to compress the rivnut. now screw nut onto halfway on to bolt and screw bolt into rivenut until bolt and nut are tight up against the rivnut, now using two spanners one on the bolt and one on the nut , hold nut still and screw in the bolt , as the bolt starts to screw in it should compress the rivnut so it holds tight in to the predrilled hole. then screw bolt out and remove , that should get you sorted. if rivnut is crossthreaded drill out and replace.

There should be a nut holding the plate on. What is holding the u-shaped plate up?? You can't tighten the faucet from above. Seems strange the nut disappeared.

Lock nut on Makita 9069 is stuck & I can't loosen it. Using the lock nut wrench, but it won't budge. Any suggestions?

Make sure you are turning wrench and nut clockwise to remove nut and counterclock to put back on,you will never get nut off if turning counterclocwise, threads pitch is opposite to screw pitches.
You are tightening and did not know it maybe???
Other option:

Need to put lock nut wrench in a vise jaw and clamp, then place tool on wrench and press down and turn. This should give you added leverage to break loose nut,and btw make sure to turn clockwise to unscrew and clockwise to tighten, this is opposite of what you might do to tighten or untighten

DLG5966W LP Conversion

Turn the change screw down until the brass nut bottoms out on the valve body. It is glued in place exactly where the change screw needs to stop when converting to LP. Hope this helps.

Windshield wiper would not return to origi position

I had the same problem in my LW200. As the other poster indicated a new wiper motor will do the trick. This is an easy fix. Remove the wiper arms, pry up the plastic center cap and remove the nuts holding the arms down then pull them off. A soft prying nudge from underneath will help as they are splined shafts. Raise the hood, put a large deep well socket on over the splined shafts and remove the 2 large nuts holding the trim panel on. Pull up and off the long rubber which runs along the front of the trim panel, watch there is a sharp edge underneath. Now you can gently pull off the trim panel, remembering to lift it over the splined shafts. Mechanism is right there, remove 3 screws and unplug wiring. Take wiper motor off the linkage swap with a new one at advance auto, about 100 bucks, reinstall in reverse order. Note there is a stamping on the linkage telling you where the pivot arm should be for the rest or stopped position and if you ignore that your wipers will be out of whack. While you are in there you may want to change the cabin air filter as well.

Ok, open trunk, there is carpet in there. Either the carpet is just sitting in there and held in by some plastic screws or nuts or the carpet is held in by the trim on the edge. If it's held in by the trim, remove trim either by removing screws that hold it in or if no screws they should pop right out. If the carpet is held in by screws/nuts those screws/nuts can either be on the outside the carpet or even under it if carpet is held in by the trim. There is at LEAST 3 screws/nuts holding light in. There could be 4. When all nuts are removed, you should be able to wiggle lamp housing out. If you can't, you can tap on those bolts sticking out to help get it started. If it still will not come, double check to make sure ALL screws/nuts are removed.
