Have you had the dispack changed on any of this trips to the mechanic's as it sound to me to be this. it would take around 30 min for it to over heat if it had a fault. then you would get a low spark, no power and eventually just stop working all together.

you can test that with a meter tps. meter with crocodile clips on should go up and down with the throttle.

SOURCE: dies at idle

  1. Carb jets may still be dirty or improperly sized.
  2. The Cam and/or Cam journals are worn down and allowing some play in the timing.(Very common on the XR's)
Sounds more like carb or timing issues to me

The stator could be going, but it doesn't sound like this is your issue.

Please rate this a fixya

SOURCE: yamaha fzr250rr 88' i was out riding and lost power

check your distributor unit or as they call it on my honda 87cbr, a pulse generator. You can switch coils around (if they are exactly the same!).. see if problem is now opposite!...if it changed... well its new coil time. but my problem wasnt the coils which i was almost positive it was because i wasnt getting any spark to #1 or #4 ...i didnt check 2-3 but im sure it wasnt getting any spark either because the bike wouldnt even hint at starting. it cost me two hours of trouble shooting and $50 for the used part...starts right up now everytime...hopes this helps.
Can i get a rating too...thanks!

SOURCE: the bike rides fine under accelaration but as soon...

Can tell you what those codes mean without knowing your bike type and model. Rule of thumb from your description it sounds like your bike is not squirting enough fuel thru its jets, try use some jet additives cleaner from Valvoline or STP or any brands available in your country to clean out your jets. Make sure your air filter are clean and battery in good state. Good luck.

My 1998 70hp evinrude is hard to start when finally does is coughs and splatters then stalls seems very smoky.it is a 2 stroke

Sounds like it needs a carb rebuild?
there is a number or reasons that will cause it to run bad.
I'd start with the fuel system and check for air leaks ( Fuel line's )
Good luck..........

egr position sensor aka the dpfe is often the culprit, its mounted on the firewall and has an electric connector and vaccum lines going to it.

Hard to explain, starts good in morning, every time after that not so good but starts every time. cough and splatter type sound, have changed leads have had injectors checked have had put on diagnostic...

Check for radiator water/antifreez reduction and water mixed with the oil too. Your problem could be caused by a minor yet serious water leakage in to the cylinder (usually through the head gasqut). Contact with a professional mechanic/ Car-repair-shop is advised!

Good luck!

Duel fuel runs perfect on gas. petrol not so good coughs and splatters when you place your foot down Yet idles smooth, could it be the mass Air sensor?

Do you have OBD 2 emission system? Have you taped lightly on the MAF Sensor to see if engine sound changes? If the system is OBD 2 you can disconnect the MAF and the PCM computer will subsitute a signal for the MAF sensor and the engine will run fine, try that and get back to me.
