Hi Anonymous, there is only two motor mounts on rubber mounted engines, one in the bottom front of engine and one at the top. 99% of time is it's the front motor mount that goes bad. The front motor mount is not the same as the top. The rear shocks act as a rear motor mount. Please visit website below:

How to replace rear engine mount on 1994 lexus es300

I'm not familiar with your Lexus, but replacing any motor mount is a pain. You have to get under the engine, lift the engine and pull the old one(s).... The quote sounds about right. You should get a break to do both at the same time.

Hello, When I hit a bump on the road, there is a shake in the middle on the frame or engine ,I dont know where exactly. Any advice for rubber mount engine ?? or anything else.... thank you.

By "shake", I'm going to assume that your are referring to a noise. Most of the Dyna series bikes have this problem. Because the engine is rubber mounted, the exhaust system cannot be mounted to the frame. If the exhaust system were bolted to the frame with the engine moving around, something would break. So, if you'll look back near the back of the transmission, you should see a bracket that supports the exhaust system. Check this for tightness and I usually spray a bit of oil on the bracket so that it doesn't squeak.

There are rubber mounts on both the front and the rear of the engine. The front mount is obvious. The rear rubber mounts are in the transmission housing. They are similar to the control arm bushings on an automobile. It consist of a layer of rubber sandwiched between two pieces of metal. These can squeak but they are difficult to replace as you have to pull the swingarm out to replace them.

Good Luck
Steve

How do you replace motor mounts

2.3 L engine. Helps if you have air tool's. Any way, from under neath support engine point to the mount that you will be taking off. If the front trans mount, then you have to remove the complete assembly, and replace the mount then re-install the assembly. The rear trans mount is easier. Front engine mount, support under the engine and remove this from the top.
