Hi Anonymous, the handlebar ground wire should have a large and small ring eye terminal, the large one goes to a handle bar bolt and the small one goes to a small screw located on the back side of the top tripple tree. Good luck

1985 dodge pick up that cranks but won't start

Need to have the basics: air, fuel, fire. Does carb shoot gas down carb barrel when you pump the throttle? Do you have a good spark when turning over? Air you should have. Pull a spark plug or two and see if they're wet. Leave one out, connected to plug wire, and have base well grounded, crank it and see if you've a good spark (no gas fumes around when you do this!). Make sure plug wires are going to the right plugs.

Kenmore refg.mod#106.9535781 getting electric shock from handle and case

Someone needs to inspect the safety ground in the receptacle the refrigerator is plugged into. Being that you are getting shocked while touching the handle is really a dangerous situation. If by chance you should be standing in water when this happens could cause electrocution and death. Your refrigerator should have a three prong plug that has not had the third prong removed for safety reasons. You will need to confirm that the safety wire leading from the chassis of your refrigerator has not been broken or altered in any way. I also have seen cases that caused all metal appliances in a home would give a shock and found the solution in a broken grounding bar inside the main breaker box. In one case the cracked grounding bar was found behind the meter that the power company uses to charge for power usage. I will be here should you have any questions, Thanks Sea Breeze

Weak or no spark

weak spark can indicate bad coil,,,correded wires,,,or grounding of the ignition circut,,in which case you would have No spark,,,simple things first,,,check your wired to the plugs,,some have removable plug caps,,and many times,,corression interferes with strong spark,,,coil testing must be done at a service provider,,,wires can be grounded,,expically if you have dumped the bike and the handle bars have be dissloged somewhat,,,check the kill switch for damage inside..

On my 1985 rx7 12a does both leading and trailing spark plugs fire all the time?

The coils might be wire in reverse polarity. The FSM diagram shows that the B/W ground wires go to the terminals and the yellow striped wires go to the - terminals which is different than most.

Where to hook up timing light+ -leeds to checkbase timing

The red wire goes to the + terminal on the battery. The black wire goes to any ground source, ( brake pedal, handle bars, any bare metal surface ). The heavy black wire goes to the spark plug wire. Some timing lights have an inductive pick up so the end clip simply snaps around the plug wire. Older lights need to hook into the plug wire then to the plug.

I have a 1982 Yamaha Xj 750. It runs great for about 30 minutes until an electrical part overheats, and I no longer have spark. Is there a condenser I'm overlooking? I've tryed changing the coils and the...

Did you check the resistors on the spark plug wires? Too much resistance will prevent the plug from firing.
Sounds like the CDI box is shorting or the wiring harness has a defect it in somewhere in the routing thats heating up after 30 minutes. Yamaha coils very seldom fail, however the CDI box is a common problem on these bikes.
Good luck, hope this helps.
