When its hot and humid you could be having a ignition coil or cable problem.check cables and replace plugs, then take it from there. have your ignition coil tested also. backfiring is a sure sign of an ignition problem

Header pipes glowing to hot

Hi, Anonymous for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. Good luck and have a nice day.

04 crf450.hard start when cold(25deg).kick for 10min.once it

1. First thing is when was the last time you had your valves adjusted
2. On cold start up twist about 15 times on your throttle, as you do that the accelerator pump in carb will shot gas in cylinder, I have a 2003 yx426 & 2005 yz450 have to do to both of them when cold out to get started

Raptor 660 2003 choke on bike idles good but when off the bike starts to back fire

Your bike is running too lean. If you have not made any changes to the air intake or exhaust then your pilot jet may have something blocking it. (probably a piece of dirt, or just tarnish build up of fuel if the carbs aren't drained while in storage) By turning the choke on, you are reducing the ammount of air allowed into the "Fuel / Air" Mixture. This allows the bike to idle properly. Once the choke is off, the mixture has too much air and not enough fuel causing the backfire. If you haven't changed anything like the exhaust or air filter it sounds like a good carb cleaning is in order. Otherwise, you will need to change jet sizes to accomodate the difference in air flow.

Hi I have problem with my raptor 660 2004.il runs well as I slowed my gas it my ***** and he has no power I change its spaplug did not change, is it that his can - etres the coil?

if it idles fine but when you give it gas you say you have no power? then you have a problem with your intake and exhaust valves.they need to be set.I have a 2003 660 raptor and it was doing the same thing and that fixed it.
