This one is best left to a shop, pullers are required etc. but an above average home mechanic can do it. it involves taking out the pushrods, removing the right cover, taking out the 4 cams and more importantly putting them back in place( they are marked for timming with dots).so all you would have to do is buy the puller tool

Cam bearing

it depends on the condition of the cam journal were the bearing rides. if it scored then the cam needs replacing and the other bearings should be looked at closely and find the reason for the damage before replacing or it will cause damage with the new parts.

Change cam bearings 1450 flhx

No, but if your cam shoes have never been replaced, have them checked. In some bikes they go as early as 30,000 miles. I just replaced the shoes in my Fatboy at 32,000. If you do replace the cam shoes or do any other work in the cam cavity, change the stock cam bearings for the Screamin' Eagle bearings. Better bearings and cheap insurance, but there is no need to change them unless you're in there for something else, unless the bearings went bad for some reason.

Camshaft bearings replacement

Which engine? Do you have the special tools required for the job? Installing cam bearings is difficult and in my experience best left to a machine shop to do or a very skilled technician. You can ruin a new set of bearings very easily.

Kawasakis of this vintage have an automatic cam chain tensioner so the timing chain adjustment is not likely the problem. The chain itself may need to be replaced however, which is not a difficult job for a mechanic with a shop manual to follow the proper sequence and reinstall to specs. Otherwise, you may wish to seek professional help. If you do, ensure the mechanic knows Kawasakis of that age group.

We are replacing the right hand cam of a audi allroad 2.5 diesel so we need to the timing marks for the camshaft befor we put the new cam in

You need to Replace both cams on this engine not just one. With uneven wear you will not get the same life out of the two cams and it will damage the engine. so replace both cams. First pull #1 cylinder plug be sure both valves are closed fully and is on compression stroke and the crank at TDC top dead center, put a piece of plastic into #1 cylinder to make sure it is all the way up. Once you have determined that it is note the position of the cam marks normally they are at 12 o'clock straight up on both cams with the crank at 0 degrees then install both cams. Again Replace both, However you need to check the cam bearings, to do that use a small mag light and shine down the bore of the cam shaft if you see copper color in the cam bearing holes you will need to replace the cam bearings or you will not have oil pressure and will damage the engine and will have wasted your money. you can Rent a cam bearing removal and installation tool and if you remove the radiator you should be able to replace them, you may have to remove the motor mounts and jack up the engine to clear the cam holes to replace the bearings. I can't stress enough how important it is to check the bearings and change both cams. I thought it my responcibilty to tell you this even if it was locked to another expert. Good luck.

I have a 82 Jeep Cherokee With the inline 6 and according to the factory oil pressure gauge i have no oil pressure when idling. I have replaced the sending unit and the pump with a high volume pump with no...

It would be cam bearings not main bearings, check with a manual guage first, if you had no oil pressure your enging would be making metal to metal knocking noises and then seize up... Suggestion at the time you remove a oil galley plug with engine off, then disconnect coil wire from ign so engine will not start then have someone help bump the starter and crank engine over while you watch for oil flow from engine block... Check flow then insert manual oil pressure guage...
