My dad has a 2005 30th anniversary edition and they light up.
I have add on lights I found at chrischrome.com item #18211 Illuminated rider controls.  You can also get them at Wingstuff.com this is a great site. http://www.wingstuff.com/pgroup_detail/105_Rivco_Products/2049_Rivco_GL1800_Handlebar_Illumination_Kit/
They are pretty much peal and stick. you will want a heat gun or hair dryer. It has a control to adjust illumination on the right handlebar, where it plugs into the brake light switch for power.

Orange cylinder light stays on speedometer

There's no such thing.

Does it look like a clock face with 1 pointer?
That means your cruise control is on (switch is on left handlebar switch housing, below left turn signal button)

If it looks like an engine that's the error light and you need to pull the error codes.

I can't tell you how to do this because you didn't give a YEAR or MODEL, and they change every few years.

This is probably all the diagnostics you need.

NO: FLHRC-I
Remove the Headlamp Assembly. Disconnect 6-Place Connector [22] and 4-Place Connector [159]. Measure Resistance Between O/W Wire on Connector [22B] and BE/BK Wire on Connector [159B]. Resistance Must Be Infinity Ohms. Pressing SET/RESUME Switch to SET Should Produce

How do i use cruise control on focus

Hello,
First the vehicle has to be operating at least 35mph. There will be two sets of switches, one set is to the left and the other set is to the right of the horn on the steering wheel. The switches on the left will be labeled on/off, the ones on the right we be labeled Coast/Accel/Resume..

At a steady highway speed press the ON switch, (at the left hand side of the horn) This will activate and turn the speed control system ON...

Then you have to set and adjust your desired speed...

To SET YOUR DESIRED speed , press and hold the accel switch (Right side of Horn) until your desired speed has been reached and then release the switch.. Speed control will now be on, activated and set, you will be in cruise mode..

If you need to coast due to possible traffic, press and hold the coast switch as long as you need to.. This is like taking your foot off of the accelerator pedal.. When you let go of the coast switch you will return to you set cruising speed.

Stepping on the brake pedal at any time will deactivate the system.. If you step on the brake, and then want to return to your previous set cruising speed... All you have to do is press resume...

I hope this has helped you? You can find detailed speed control activation instructions in your 2005 Ford Focus Owners manual.. If you did not receive your owners manual when you bought the vehicle.. You can purchase one at your local Ford, Lincoln or Mercury dealership..

Cruise control just doesn't respond

Could be a blown fuse, or it could be a faulty sensor switch , either on the brake or excelorater.

How do you set the cruise control on my 2008 Road King Classic, FLHRCI. I bought the bike, no manual... Thank-you

Luckily, I have a 2008 Road King Classic (FLHRC) WITH a manual!

On the left handlebar switch housing there is a lever below the left turn signal button.
It should be flipped to the right for the cruise control to be on, left is off.

On the right switch housing, is a similar lever, below the right turn signal button.

When you're above the minimum speed (I do not know what this is, but 30 MPH is not fast enough for it to engage), push the lever to the right (towards the grip end). This will "SET" the speed.
If you hit the brakes, or accelerate above a certain rate, the cruise will kick off.
To get back to the set speed, when you're above the minimum speed, flip lever to the left to resume.

When the speed is set and engaged, to increase the set speed, flip right lever to the right, to slow, flip to the left.

2003 expedition cruise control not working

I just fixed my Cruise control problem. It didn't work at all, no light in the dash either. What had happened was, I had changed the brake booster some months back and when the brake pedal is disconnected from the booster shaft, it allows the pedal to raise too high. It will contact the cruise control disconnect switch to the left of the brake switch. To find the switch, look close and there is a "L" bracket welded on the brake pedal and the cruise switch contacts this bracket. Well this switch is a self-adjusting switch designed to be installed with the pedal at least an inch or so depressed. When the pedal is released it will contact the switch and push the shaft into the switch to the determined setting and it will lock into that position. I was able to pull the shaft out enough to make contact again and it self adjusted like it's supposed to and now the system works great! What made me go to this switch was by checking power at pin 6 (blk/yellow wire) at the cruise servo connection. This connection has 6 pins and the end pins (1 & 6) both have 12 volts. Mine had no power at pin six, which means the cruise deactivation switch is the problem. Older Expeditions had this switch on the brake master cylinder (recall for fires, etc), but 2003 and up has it on the brake pedal itself. Once I figured out where the switch actually was, it was easy to figure out. If you have done any work around teh brake pedal and disconnected it for any reason, you gotta check this out.

Check the brake lighf bulbs. If even one is burnt out, it throws the sensors.
Had the same problem replaced both bulbs and now the esp light stays off and the cruise control sets.
