Shifting forks are all out maybe, but make sure your clutch is working good and fully dissengaging , if clutch is good, you need tranny repairs

Sounds more likely that you have a corroded gearshift pivot. Take apart the footrest/gearshift assembly, clean with a wire brush & lubricate
