Hi Anonymous, why would want to? Harley Davidson 20w50 Syn 3 is perhaps the best oil on the planet you can put in your FLHR. Good luck

Engine oil capacity

What is the question? Engine oil capacity isn't a question.
Who knows what you are talking about when you post something like that? Oil capacity can range from teaspoons to gallons.
When you post be specific and clear with the question because we don't read minds or know what you are talking about unless you convey that in your question.
Are you talking about a Boeing 747 Airplane, motorcycle, moped, car, truck, space shuttle, air boat,etc... year, model, make, engine size, type of oil you want use or type recommended for your application?

Whats the best type of oil to use for this bike?

The service manual recommends 20W40 motor oil at ambient temperatures above 40 degrees Fahrenheit,You can opt for Mobil 1 15W50 "Red Cap" full synthetic oil. If you do decide to use anything besides the manufacturer recommended motor oil for your motorcycle, make sure that it doesn't have the words "Energy Conserving" on the bottle since those contain friction modifier additives that can cause clutch slippage
If this was helpful a vote on the thumbs up would be appreciated

I have a Coleman 2200 6hp green tochemsa engine pressure washer and wanted to know what type of oil is used in the water pump? PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

The recommended oil is determined by the pump manufacturer (usually different from the engine), but most of the "consumer grade" pressure washers say you never need to change the pump oil. Maybe they figure something else will break before it needs new pump oil?

The little jugs of pump oil at home improvement stores are usually SAE 30W (non-detergent) crankcase oil. 75W90 gear oil seems like a better choice; I personally use synthetic marine lower unit gear lube in my pressure washer pump. It's a little more expensive, but I think the formulation gives better moisture resistance. Besides, the pump takes a fairly small amount, and I don't change it very often at all.

Bottom line- you almost certainly want non-detergent oil, around 30W crankcase/80W gear (since they use different scales, these are just about the same viscosity). Synthetics seem to be higher quality, and using marine grade lube gives me peace of mind.

The pump oil matrix here is illustrative- note the many substitutions allowed. The specific oil you choose probably doesn't make much difference, especially compared to never changing it.

1998 KTM 250 exc. Loosened oil level bolt and wont retighten. Also gray metallic oil oused out. What type and how much oil would you recomend?

Chances are that the prior owner pretty well stripped the case threads. The gray aspect of the oil is water emulsified in the oil. The two usual causes are a bad water pump seal or condensation in the gearbox. The metallic part is bothersome. Somewhere, something is wearing badly. The site below has two factory service manuals available for free download. One is 2003 the other doesn't say the year. Either should be able to answer recommended oil quantity and oil type. Consider changing filters also. Please rate my answer. Thanks! tombones49_23.gif

How do i check if it needs oil on the manual transmission because the shifts are hard to change when running or is there something else to do beside a new clutch already done

Hard shifting may be caused be the clutch not releasing properly. If you have a new clutch your problem might be caused by your hydraulic clutch release system. When stopped and idling you should be able to shift gears without grinding.Reverse grinding may indicate a clutch release problem. You should have some clutch pedal travel up from the floor before you feel it engaging. The oil fill check is either at the speedo or a plug at the axle shaft level.Be sure to use factory recommended fluid.Gear oil is not a proper fluid.

When changing the oil, how many quarts and what type of oil is used?

Most engines have it stamped in block ,beside oil fill hole example 3600ml..read on oil bottle should say 936 ml on quart bottle. Most suzukis over 750cc use 3.9 quarts of oil. DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC OILS..will cause clutch slippage ..Also look under seat, most bikes have a sticker with oil capacity, filter type, spark plug type
