My icemaker is overfilling water.

Find the manual for the ice maker - it may be in an envelope on the back of the refrigerator. Inside, there should be instructions for setting the timing for the water fill valve. Your water fill valve is open too long, reduce the open time for the fill valve.

How To Set Timing

Follow the instructions in the manual for whatever vehicle you have. I don't know if you mean the ignition or valve timing or even the make and model of your car or truck.

Timing chain

bent push rods could have been caused when the chain broke and not from the chain been replaced wrong or the timing out.

if the engine was running when the chain broke the cam would have stopped leaving all the valves in the same positon as the mometum of the fly wheel continued to turn the pistons in the cylendars could hav come up and hitting the valves and bending the push rods. and or damaging the cylendar head.

recommend removing the head and have it checked for damage, as well as replacing the bent push rods, and cylendar gaskit. once the head is checked and the valves are seated well. then replace and follow instructions in the set up for the pistons and cam prior to replacing the chain and setting the timing.

I hope this was helpful.

How to set timing on 2005 mazda 4 cylinder

If you are refering to ignition timing, there is no adjustment. Ignition timing is controlled by the computer.
If you are refering to valve timing, it is a chain-driven engine and it requires several special service tools to get the thing timed correctly. There is also about 6 pages of instructions and several graphics that cover this proceedure and cannot be posted here.

Step by step instructions on checking for bent valves and setting timing before installing timing belts for a 1993 Honda Accord LX

check the valve clearance. If you have valves with excessive clearance, then they are bent. the cam gear will have 2 flat marks that line up with the surface that the valve cover lays on, (9 and 3 o clock) and the "UP" sign at 12 o clock. the flywheel will be marked with a white line for TDC. be sure the balancer gear is lined up correctly.

Can you tell me or send me a diagram how to line up my timeing belt on a Geo Tracker

Unfortunately there is more to it. You have to put the #1 Cylinder to Top Dead Center on the compression stroke. You need to make sure the valves are set so the number one set of valves are on the compression stroke. Then you need to align the timing marks on the timing gears correctly and get the timing belt on. If the original belt broke while the engine was running you want to make sure and get that head checked and verified as good. If any of this does not make sense you need to get the Haynes or Chilton's repair manual on your vehicle so you have step by step instructions for doing these steps.
