My pulsar 150,18000 kms done now the engine getting more heat within 10 kms and my AFR screw is 2turns anti clockwise

Hi, Anonymous you worry too much is the air temperature increasing on a daily basis in your country? Have you added accessories that block air flow to the engine, do you drive mainly in stop and go traffic conditions? Have you increased the load or weight on your scooter? How do you know it is getting more heat? your Pulsar was designed to run with an engine oil temperature of 82 to 110 degrees celsius anything lower and your engine will not burn off water vapor or condensation in the oil anything higher the oil starts to break down and lubrication properties become compromised and engine failure is imminent. If your engine oil temperature is running close to 110 degrees you may want to add an oil cooler to bring down the overall running temperature by 10 to 15 degrees. Finally, your air fuel mixture screw has nothing to do with engine heat it only controls your idle circuit, however, if you have an intake manifold leak that will raise engine operating temperature and also your idle. My pulsar 150, 16000 kms done. Now the engine getting more heat within 10 to 15 kms . The oil change intervel is 3000 kms

Hi, Anil your engine was designed to run at an oil temperature of 180-230 degrees Farenheight or 82-110 Celcius if your not comfortable with those specifications you can always install an oil cooler otherwise the usual suspects are:
1. Insufficient oil supply, or oil not circulating.
2. Insufficient air flows over the engine.
3. Heavy carbon deposits.
4. Ignition timing retarded due to faulty MAP, CKP, and/or CMP sensors.
5. Leaking intake or exhaust valve.
6. Water coolant low or pump failure.

My 2005 jeep liberty over heats, any solutions

check to see if you have a viscous fan hub and if so then replace it . Check when the overheating occurs If it is at stop lights but cools down when travelling. It is the hub. If it overheats when going slow and under load it will be the hub. If it overheats when travelling fast then check the radiator for core blockage and have a compression test done to check for head gasket / cracks Run fault codes and check for blocked exhaust system --cat converter)

2000 maxima runs hot/overheats and sporadically gets heat when on the gas. Otherwise no heat at all. Already replaced the thermostat, heater core, radiator and hoses...gets good flow but gets no heat and...

That is typical that the heater won't work well when the engine is overheating. Often because of low coolant, also the htr. core is the highest part of the coolant system. Bite the bullet and check for a head gasket problem-a compression test should tell you.

Turn the a/c on and the car overheats

Might be cooling fan clutch or the electric fan could be broken, the engine-cooling fan moves air through the radiator when your car is stationary or traveling at a slow speed, this air removes the heat from the coolant created by the engine, using the radiator as a conductor. When the cooling fan no longer works it causes the coolant to overheat which causes the engine to overheat. Also check the radiator, when the AC is turned on, the heat released from the condenser located in front of the radiator reduces the radiator's ability to remove the heat and the engine starts to overheat.
