There is only a manual for an XR250 but it may have the information you need. Go to http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp , and download a (free) manual.

Lifters sound loud on 2011 Ultra Classic

This car has hydraulic lifters( tappets} therefore should not adjustment, you probably have a bad or weak lifter. But, in any case you have to remove the valve covers to make the adjustment. You will see the adjustable bolt on the rocker arm. rotate the engine until the valve is all the way to the top, [no tension on the valve spring] then place a feeler Gage in between the rocker arm and the valve stem, adjust the rocker arm until the feeler Gage is snug but not tight. Do this with each valve. Check the book for the correct Gage to use but I think it is a .018.

I have a really bad ticking noise coming from the top end of the motor. i have adjusted the rocker arms to were i believe they should be and the noise is still there? it is a mid 80's honda 350 quad.

Hi, does oil reaches the rocker box abundantly ?
You must adjust the valve gap according to manufacturer speficarions.
Maybe you pressure release valve is set to low and you d'ont have enough pressure to reach the rocker arms
good luck

How do I adjust the valves on a 1998 old bravada 4.3 vortec

You don't. They are non-adjustable hydraulic lifters. GM's spec for torque on the rocker arm nuts: Tighten the valve rocker arm ball studs to 47 N·m (35 lb ft). Once the valve rocker arm nuts are installed and properly torqued, no additional valve lash adjustment is required.

Am put a new head set on my mustang 302 engine in no more compression y need a set up to adjust valve +

if you have everything installed correctly then these valves are a torque value that need a torque wrench to torque the rocker nut to specs.you don`t say if you have change from the factory style head assembly.

What is the rocker arm torque on a 1994 plymouth voyager se 3.3l

Its not realy measured by torque on the rocker arm it self because the arm is perloaded by the valve spring plus its a lock nut .The valve adjustment is the thing you need to deal with witch is the space between the rocker arm and the valve stem where it contacts the rocker arm its a spicific clearance in thousands of an inch the exhust is uasly a couple thousands more because it runs slightly hotter . You realy need to check the specific methoid and and spec's for your engine on line or mabey call the dealer its not that its that hard to do it just needs to be correct to tight and it could do a lot of damage to the engine valve train

I need the engine valve spec for a 1984 chevy 6.2 diesel. We are adjusting the valves.

VALVE ADJUSTMENTS All gasoline and diesel engines in this guide use hydraulic valve lifters, which require no periodic maintenance or adjustment. However, in the event of cylinder head removal or any operation that requires disturbing or removing the rocker arms, the rocker arms must be adjusted in order to position the pushrods to allow the hydraulic lifters to maintain zero lash. Refer to the valve lash adjustment procedure under Rocker Arms, earlier in this Section.

Make sure you understand this completely...the engine must be COLD, overnight in the frozen wasteland cold. No short cuts here, let the bike cool for 24 hours to be on the safe side. Your adjustments are .004" for Intake and .005" for exhaust. Hope this helps.

Need to know if I can adjust the valves on 86 Ford Escort

normally they are not adjustable, look at your rocker arms, do they have a nut and screw threaded into them? if not they are not adjustable, are having trouble with lifter tapping noise? this happens to not adjustable valve engine due to lifter wear, the hydraulic lifters lose their ability to hold oil pressure so they create space instead of elimanating space, and should probably be replaced. Hope this helps, let me know
