Yes, very easy. Remove tank by front and rear fasteners, could be bolts rubber straps or springs with hooks. Remove all gas then flush at least twice with a small amount of new gas. Buy an inline fuel filter (plastic or metal), cut your existing gas line in an open spot between the tank and carb and install filter. Use 2 screw clamps on either side of filter. Easy job.

No fuel in fuel fiter

Try draining the fuel tank completely into something gasoline proof that will allow you to see the gas. Look for any debris in the drained gas. You may also need to disconnect the fuel line and blow carburetor cleaner back through the hose and into the fuel tank. Generally there is a small screen protecting the intake to the fuel line and this may have become clogged. Try this and then put new, clean fuel back into the tank, make sure that fuel is running out of the fuel line, through the fuel filter and then connect the fuel line back to the carburetor. Hopefully you understand the inherent danger of fooling around with all of this highly flammable gasoline so take every precaution to avoid the possibility of ignition! Good luck.

HUSQVARNA 41 CORRECT FUEL FILTER TO BIG FOR MY FUEL LINE IN TANK--DO I NEED TO GET BIGGER FUEL LINE??

you can get saw specific parts from a Husq. dealer or you can make shift something to get you by. the key is to make sure the hole in the tank is slightly smaller then the diameter of the hose to ensure there is no air leak there. I drill the tank hole out a size at a time until I have to force the hose in that will fit snuggly on the carb inlet then replace the fuel filter with one that fits the line

Stihl 420 - continues to cut out , we purchased 4 new saws and have problems with all of them. We thought it must be gas , ethanol, vapor lock any suggestions

If the unit is running for a short amount of time but never gets to a high rpm then it could be that the needle is sticking open, or another carburetor problem. Might also blow the fuel tank completely dry, I have seen where the water would stay in the fuel tank even after it has been drained out. And when the tank is empty I would check the fuel filter. Take the fuel filter off of the fuel line and dry it off. IF the fuel filter is dark, like a coffee stain on white, then you need to replace the fuel filter. If it is a white color when dry the fuel filter is O.K. and the problem is elsewhere.
I would also suggest that you take it to a Stihl dealer that has a Gold Certified Technician, the technician will be able to diagnose and fix the problem. Usually in a timely manner. You can go tot the dealer that you bought the units from or you can go to the Stihl website and they can direct you to the nearest dealer.

Someone filled my tank and they put diesel instead of gas 1999 ford taurus what's the cheapest way to fix

this is a nightmare situation as the whole fuel system will have to be drained, all filters changed, and then refilled with the highest octane fuel you can buy(to dilute any diesel left in tank)most main dealers pressurise the tank and then when empty fill with gas and pressurise again when changing filters etc.....if you have a compressor it IS something you can do yourself but will take all afternoon.......(then you have to dispose of the old fuel)

Need help to drain fule tank in grand prix

I had luck by removing the fuel filter under the car (located on the drivers side midway of the car) I needed to do this and when i unplugged the filter, gas started coming out, i started to put a cup but the cup started to get full so i just plugged up the line instead. This is just a thought, it might be dangerous, ( i dont know) but i would remove the fuel filter and connect the gas line to a tank or bottle or something, maybe run an extension away from the car and start to crank the car, forcing the fuel to leave the tank, that's just me thou. YOU DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, dont hold me responsible.

How do I change the fuel filter on a 2006 2.4lt Chrysler PTCruiser. Do I need to remove the tank? Do I need to drain the tank? Finally how often do I need to change the Fuel Filter

your cars fuel filter is inside your fuel tank along with the fuel pump....you need to remove the back seat to give way in removing the top cover of the fuel tank that holds the fuel pump and filter...no need to drain the tank with its fuel...fuel filter replacement interval is every 20,000 km. or 12500 miles.

Were is the fuel pump on a 99 jeep grand cherokee, and is it hard to replace?

You will not like my answer.

The fuel pump is inside the gas tank.

You will need to drain the tank and drop the tank to gain access to the fuel pump via the top of the gas tank.

Mark sure your new fuel pump has a new screen/sock filter.

Change filter filter at the same time!
