Remove the petrol pipe and make the bike keep it on the 1 stand. Then try to start let me know what happens next

Blue smoke start up


If it started to smoke after a service but didnt before, check for over-filled oil.
Otherwise it is a valve seal or piston ring gap issue.

You will see the problem when you take the head off. No compression is either valves, rings or piston.

hi what you have just described is the head gasket leaking.you say you do not get a drip on the floor??check to see if the oil has travelled towards the rear of the head??if so how much??although this will not really affect the bike under normal riding it is recommended that you get it repaired sooner rather then later.

Please help sticky valve and makes a metal on metal noise


Stop running the bike immediately....And start pulling the head off so the valves can be checked and adjusted. If the valve is out of spec it can wear down the clearance needed and cause major engine damage, usually breaking the valve off into the combustion chamber and destroying that cylinder, head, and piston. Also make sure that your oil lines up to your head aren't clogged, this will end in your motor seizing. Good luck.

Going along just died no compresion now when you kick start it


hi you dont say what type of bike if its 4 stroke blown head gasket burnt valve or hole in piston modern fuels cause lots of problems in bikes take out plug and see what it looks like check for tight tappet or valve stuck open

Any chance the valve spring has collapsed? Cam shaft thrust washers missing? Cam shaft bearing gone bad?

Starting The Bike On A Cold Morning


Try putting in new, stock spark plugs. Check and possibly replace the air filter. Charge the battery. Get the bike running then check the battery voltage at 2000 rpm. It should show 14volts or more. If not, get the charging system checked. Get a can of starting spray (for future problems).

Get the compression checked. Your bike is 21 years old and I will bet that the valves are needing to be reseated. Check the valve clearances with a cold engine and reset valve clearances as needed. Check the area where the head contacts th cylinder. Any mist of an oil stain? Tighten the head or replace the head gasket. If replacing the gasket, now is the time to have the shop lap re-seat the valves. Have them sync and balance the carbs as well. Your bike will now have its' manners back and show you the dedication it should.

get a mechanic, clean up the carburettor, and your silencer as well as change the engine oil. re tune your fuel gauge air screw to optimal power settings. remember incorrect settings of the air screw might adversely damage the bike's performance

Unable to figure out how to inflate a bike tire


Could this help?

  1. Have the lever on the pump head pushed down, flat against the pump head.
  2. Push the pump head FIRMLY onto the tire valve.
  3. While still pushing firmly, flip the pump head lever up to lock the pump head onto the tire valve.
  4. Inflate to desired pressure.
  5. When finished, push the pump head lever back down and pull the pump head off the tire valve.
(Once you hook the pump up to your tire and start pumping, the back pressure will switch the flow to the bike valve output.)

Hard to start


These bike are known to 'pull the valves into the head'.
You need to do a compression test to check for leaky valves.
If the valves are sealing well, check the valve clearance.
