Make sure the needle is still connected to the float . You will be able to move the float up and down and see the needle move with it.

Sounds like the float is stuck or needs replacing. When you take it apart there is a piece that pivots on top of a small needle. The pivoting piece is the float and if it is stuck or no longer floats properly the carb will leak fuel.

2005 drz 125L carb hose line diagram

Might be fuel leaking from overflow. Perhaps the float valve is stuck or damaged, allowing the float bowl to overfill. Slight chance tapping on side of carb may seat the valve. If not, it will probably have to either be set, or replaced. Could possibly have some "gunk" stuck in the valve seat from the cleaning. It only takes a tiny speck of debris to hold the valve open, causing flooding. Another possible cause is that during the cleaning, the tab that adjusts the level of the float valve got bumped, changing the level.

Hi their. i have a kubota na 600 generator. the problem is there's is no fuel getting into the cylinder. there is fuel in the carb bowl and if i put fuel down the cylinder head via the spark plug hole

When you say you took carb apart did you put a new rebuild kit in it? If not there is your problem. The fuel eats over time the seals an they leak. There is only one fix to rebuild it or get a new carb. These kits are very cheap an easy to do. Just make sure you clean out all the orifices with something like a brass or steel bristle from a brush. Being careful not to enlarge the holes. When you remove the bowl on the carb if it has one. Be sure not to lose the springs an clean out the jets under the float. The kit for each engine is different. Use all the parts, dont skimp thinking this one is ok. Be sure to replace fuel lines at this time they get holes an cracks on them an cause all sorts of problems. This is an easy job. Your engine is sucking air, not fuel. Be sure to check to make sure passage to the engine is not clogges with somthing.

My 93 Honda CBR600 TURNS BUT Wont start. it started yesterday but was leaking fuel through the fuel lines so turned it off n took gas tank off n replaced hose clamps n put back together n now it wnt start....

When you put the fuel hoses back and refitted the tank, did you make sure the vacuum tube to the fuel tap was reconnected ?

The fuel tap has a vacuum connection in order that the fuel is automatically cut off when the engine stops - the tap has on-off-reserve manual settings, but this is overridden by the vacuum. So, even if you have set the tap to "on", if the vacuum hose is disconnected/blocked/leaking, no fuel will reach the carbs.

The vacuum hose is about half the diameter of the fuel hoses and connects to the smaller spigot on the tap, and either the number 1 or 2 cylinder vacuum take off point on the carbs.

I have 2 ktm50s that are both acting like they are running rich and when you shut the fuel valve, the motor cleans out and revs fine after almost running out of fuel. I believe it could be the ignition...

you might take the top off the Carb and make sure the float is not allowing the fuel level to get too high in the Carb If that is the problem you can bend a tab, or adjust a screw, to shut down the flow of gas from the tank before the carb gets flooded. Also, check the fuel-mixture screw while the bike is
parked and idling to make sure it's not just set too rich. Start by screwing in the mixture screw, half a turn or quarter of a turn at a time. Put the carb back together before doing the running test.
