SOURCE: I need to charge the battery on my Kawasawki

A red wire or red tape near the end of the wire indicates it to be the positive ( + ) terminal. The black wire is the ground wire, negative ( - ) terminal. The battery terminals will have a plus + and a minus - symbol on the top or the side of the battery casing. Additionally, the black wire will be bolted to the frame about 12 inches from the battery.

What makes my 2009 chevy aveo go in limp mode

My wife's 2006 Aveo was continually going into limp mode. She wold have to turn the car off, wait 30 seconds and restart the car to reset the car so it would properly drive again.

I checked codes and had 6 falt codes. Most relating to emissions and fuel peddle sensor and your usual oxygen sensor and a transmission powertrain control module . . .

I changed Tps and fuel pedal sensors and cleared codes.

Every day for weeks the car check engine light would come back on and the same codes would appear.

This is what I did . . . . .

I had a hunch a bad ground issue was causing the problem.

So I removed the battery and battery tray. I cleaned both battery posts.

Under the battery tray I found two major chasis ground wire positions that fastened to the car. I removed them and with a red scotchbright disc and a die grinder I cleaned up all the wire ends and where they fastened to the car.

I did the same where the major negative wire attached to the starter and three large ground wires also attached to the back of the engine.

After restoring all the major and minor ground wire attach points my wife's car worked like new.

Bad battery to chasis grounds was the problem!!!!!!
The car has never thrown a code since and the problem went away

I have a 2005 Saturn and the battery needs a boost. I can see the positive terminal but where is the negative terminal? Please describe clearly where it is and what to do.

The negative is on the battery, the sime side or oposite, can't miss it!Can be well covered (plastic cap).In the last instance u can use the chasis ground (some free bolt ,well tighten to chasis),it is the same thing as long as the ground is ok (negative to chasis linK).Cheers, let the others know if problem solved.

Where would i find grounding points to chasis on a 2005 chevy tahoe?

Use a test light backward. Hook up the clip to a wire you know is hot (a wire from the positive post on the battery itself works best) and use the probe to test for potential grounds. When it lights up your good. If you hook into a power source you will create a short, and blow a fuse.

I need to charge the battery on my Kawasawki Eliminator motorcycle, and cannot tell which post is the GROUNDED post. Visually, what am I looking for to tell which post is grounded to the chasis?

Sound system skips out when the bass hits or the trble gets too high at a certain degree of volume and the dash sometimes cuts out or doesn't come on, i have to hit the dash in the right spot with the...

There is a loose/damaged/corroded ground connection -- sounds like it's under the dash.

But, I would check the battery cables and the chasis ground strap as well. The chasis ground strap is usually near the bottom of the engine compartment -- it's a braided cable running rom the engine block to the chasis.

Battery check ok only click when try to start cant even see the starter motor?

Clean both post and terminals by removing the terminals. the clicking sound, sound like not having a good ground or contact knowing the battery is good. I would also try to eliminate the battery and bad ground and starter, To see if your starter is good, go ahead and have someone jump your car by attaching the cable as Positive directly to your car Positive post and the Negative to your car good ground contact. do not hook it up to your car negative post. If the car start, than your starter is fine. If it doesn't start than you have a bad ground or weak battery. Replace battery or clean ground. If it does not turn your engine over than you have a bad starter. hope that help some.
