Trying to remove headlight cover and clean inside butdont know how to remove benzel and the adjustment cables on headlight cover
There are screws in plain site to remove the chrome trim
No cables involved ,just headlamp adjustment screws
Testimonial: "mine has bulbs not sealed beam and it was 2 screws hididng behind bumper at bottom of bezel"
This being a 1994 Dodge Dakota, if it hasn't been altered some way you don't have headlight covers. They're either sealed beams or may have the twist-in bulbs. If they're sealed beams, you can't access the inside of them. If they have replacedable, twist-in bulbs, you can remove the headlight case. As the other solution advises, there are some torx-head screws holding the rectangular chrome bezel around the headlight. Remove those, then the bezel. Then there is a rectangular frame aorunf the headlight assembly with a couple of screws on top and maybe on bottom. Remove those and the frame and you can remove the headlight. Un-twist the bulb-holder first. The only way to get inside it is through the hole the bulb-holder goes into. You can fill the head-light case part-way with warm soapy water and shake it to clean any dirt. Maybe use a bottle-brush. Unless your truck has been in a flood or something, I don't know why there would be dirt/mud inside the case. If it's not a sealed-beam and has a clear plastic front on the case, it probably isn't dirt or mud, and is oxidation of the clear plastic. You could try using headlight lens restorer. You can buy a fairly cheap version at Dollar Stores, Walmart, or your auto parts store maybe. I have used it and it works pretty good. Just follow directions carefully. I hope this has been helpful.

On the back of the headlight their is a bolt which you could turn it one way and it lowers the headlight the other way it picks it up.
SOURCE: change headlights and clean inside the lens
you cant really get inside of the lenses because they are glued together and usually break when you try to disassemble them. the lights should just turn slightly to the left and pull right out no special tools required.

headlight cover does not have to be removed. Open your hood and reach in to the back of the headlight assembly grasp the main headlight plug and pull while turning counter clockwise. the bulb should come out with the plug, the bulb will then unclip from the plug, good luck
Open the hood to the 1999 Dodge Stratus.
