Computer brain I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu. It ha died at red lights a couple of times but then restarted. Then it died at a red light, I put it in N and it wouldn't start. Pushed it to get gas (gauge doesn't work). Put it in park at the pump, filled it. Now it wont start, it wont come out of park and when I read the codes it says it can't communicate with the vehicle. There is fuel pressure. Already replaced the ignition switch and nothing changed.

Just dealing the with same problem. You need to take the car to have the electronics systems tested. Trust me it will save you a lot of time and frustration and it pays for itself because you don't end up guessing at parts. The oil pump can be tested at your local garage with a pump pressure sensor.

Need to replace the sensor inside the gas tank. I have a 2008 Malibu with the same problem. It was a faulty fuel gauge sensor.
