The dealers check the truck three weeks ago couldnt find a thing now I have to jump start everytime I start it up. Now there saying my battery is dead and I need to put a manufactured battery in it. plus now my pos and neg cable are corriorded. I dont know it i believe this. Could something be draining those batteries
The cables are the next thing to check. The corrosion can go under the insulation and cause them to fail.

I hav a 1995 88 w/ same problem. Key was worn out, Had Security system disabled.by installing a resistor to by pass Sec. System.Had it done for $35.00 Check locally for a starter/alternator shop in your area.

Positive of one battery to hot of vehicle wiring harness--neg. of that battery to positive of other battery--negative of that battery to block (ground)

Unhooke your altinator it has 6 diodes in it if one is bad it will drain the battery and still charge,unhook it and recheck I bet that is your problem,Thanks and I hope this helps

I would first have the alternator checked by an auto electrician to ensure it is working correctly and is providing the correct volume of current. It may be faulty and when driving you will be drawing battery power instead of power from the alternator to run the electrics. This will drain the battery.
Alternators do not last forever and if you are still running the original unit it is likely to be on it's last legs and you will need a replacement unit.

also check you ignition cable sometimes it's at a single filament that when you boost it it grabs but after it wont work,try a tune -up.
