SOURCE: replace speedometer cable

First: you unscrew the cable housing assembly from the back of the speedomiter housing. Second: you pull the speedomiter cable from the housing. If the cable is broken inside the housing you must unscrew the housing from the spedomiter adaptor on the front axle,. at this point you should be able to pull the broken end from the adaptor with a pair of pliersif you can't pull it at this point you will have to pull the front axle and take the adaptor out and try to remove the broken end. I hope this helps.

What size is the exhaust flange bolts on a 2004 sportster thanks

The exhaust flange is held on by two nuts on studs in the head. The studs are 5/16" diameter. The nut outside size is 1/2". Now the threads could be either national course or national fine threads but most are national fine. I hope this answers your question.

Good Luck

Torque secs for 2005 Harley sportster cylinder bolts

The process to properly torque the heads on your Evo Sporty is more complicated than simple tightening the nuts down. There are three steps and the bolts must be torqued in a specific order. Since I can't send pictures larger than 150Kb on his forum. please contact me directly at wd4ity@bellsouth.net and I'll e-mail you the information that you need.
